Yes, we've done it for years although we keep our tourer sited in Somerset for the summer months, but we are thinking of going back to towing it to different places again next year. The important thing is safety make sure your car is powerful enough and has a suitable kerb weight for the caravan. It is advisable to buy and use a stabiliser unless it already has one attached. When you pack it don't try and overload it as this will affect the weight and pack heavy things on the floor of course and anything really heavy like the awning, gas bottle lay it directly above the axel for towing and keep both sides packed evenly to help the keep it stable. As for the awning some of them can be a bit of a pain to put up, involves a lot of swearing usually, but once you get the hang of it you'll put it up much quicker. Nothing like putting up an awning in pouring rain when it's windy, worth it though for the extra space or sleeping room and to keep your bits and pieces, sunchairs, shoes etc. You should have a diagram but once you put it up it's worth marking the coordinating poles with different colour tape so they match up, it makes it much easier next time. The main thing with caravanning is you learn as you go really, we've had so many disasters it would make a really funny book. We've enjoyed it for years when the children were growing up and as it is quite a cheap way to holiday we had many more breaks than we would if we'd payed for a hotel. I think that is the best thing really the freedom of it and we have made so many good friends from all over the country, in fact my son met his partner while touring. if you've a free weekend you can just get up and go, you don't need to book most sites in advance unless it school or bank holidays.
Well I hope you enjoy it as much as we do, have a great time!

there are various sturdy web pages inspect camping out and Caravaning in large Britain till now you purchase nevertheless. I actually have a Static Caravan interior the lake district and have faith me you're doing the final situation in procuring a tourer in spite of the fact that gas costs are severe on the 2nd for towing it relatively is advisable to contemplate a base on your van. Many many caravaners shop their van over iciness and which may well be costly too. One website North Lakes camping out and Caravaning enable you to shop your caravan each and all of the 12 months around saving you on towing its a sturdy base for exploring the lake district in spite of the fact that no longer something lots on website different than alluring u . s . a . area and honestly no longer something for babies
