I am a Sr fan and sure miss him too. I was fortunate that one of my NASCAR races that I went to I happen to get to see him win at the Brickyard. What a great day and then I was at Chicagoland the first NASCAR race there and on the third lap everyone held the three fingers up in respect.
I am like a lot of you I don't care to watch many races anymore either. It is like NASCAR said OK Dale is gone now lets see how far we can screw this racing thing up. And they are doing a good job of it too.

I totally agree although I was a Sr fan, with all the new rules and regulations that they are putting on the drivers, the teams and the sponsors. I have gotten to wear I don't want to watch the races anymore. They have taken all the fun out of rubbin' is racin'. Glad to know there are other Nascar junkies that are upset with them too. GO NASCAR

We watched Dale Sr. because he was a driver that wasn't afraid to push the envelope and do what he had to do to win. Yes, he did what would be called aggressive driving now. He also taught other drivers how to race. I miss his honest way of driving.
HE HAD A HEART OF GOLD AND A TEMPER TO MATCH.

I definatley miss him but what can you do IF you could bring him back i would in a second also what the new rules and racers are doing to the sport makes it not so much fun to watch as it was. B4 these stupid rules and only 3 or 4 people winning every race it is not as fun to watch

I was a Sr. fan. . .and agree with you that you either loved him or hated him, either way everyone wanted to know where Sr. was on the track and what he was doing.
Racing changed a lot for me after he died. When he raced I did my best to not miss a lap of any race. I am getting back to the thrill of racing. . .. but it is not as good as it use to be.. . .but everything changes. To newer fans I am sure NASCAR seems just fine to them, because they didn't see it in the "good 'ole days". =)

Yes, I miss him. He was the Intemidator and that followed with his fans. It was all part of the game we played as fans and continue today with the Gorden bashing.
It's not that we hate Gorden or think he is a flop. It's because he is a great driver and out of our game we bash out of fun. That's why I am a Dale JR fan. I love the game I play with my friends who are Gorden fans.

AMEN! I mean, isn't racing about the fastest guy (or girl) crossing the finish line first? Why do they have to bring out new rules and regulations, even new cars to try to make everybody happy? Get in, sit down, shut up, and hang on!

I agree. The passion that the drivers have for winning and racing is what makes the sport great and they are trying to tame that and take it away.
