haha, I get what you're saying about Africa. I always had people asking me if I have to avoid lions on the way to school.
But on topic though, I agree, they shouldn't be called illegals.

Let's all be honest.. we were not ALL immigrants at some point. Native Americans were already here.. African Americans were forced over on boats to help build this country yet are still treated as second class citizens. Illegals get better treatement than anyone in the US because the people in the larger corporations want to keep more money in their pocket by hiring people at a significantly lower wage.
The natives were referred to as savages as well because the people that invaded the land did not agree with their religious beliefs or any way they did anything. With that being said, crime has always been rewarded. George Washington slaughtered natives by the thousands and became the first President of the USA.
People that are uneducated make themselves feel more important by demeaning others and being ignorant. That is the only way I can sum up why they think Africans live in huts. I have a few friends from Africa and they are living in some very elite homes. They have come to make humor in the fact that people can be ignorant about their lifestyle and or living arrangement.
Are illegals human? Yes. Are they criminals? Definitely. If there were no jobs for them, they would not be so quick to cross the borders into the land of milk and honey. They should be deported immediately and the jobs should be given back to the American citizens who are in an insurmountable debt from paying an enormous amount of money towards higher education.

Actually, the Native Americans probably wandered here from somewhere else too. We can trace everyone back to the Fertile Crescent at some point in history.
I think that your ideology actually may stem from a lack of understanding on how the economics work. Illegals are "illegals" because they come here circumventing the rules, which require them to pay taxes on what they owe.
These taxes support the services that they use. When an illegal goes to the hospital emergency department, the hospital is required to treat them without payment. SOMEONE has to pay for that. The hospital pays for it, but the hospital still has to make ends meet, so how do they do that? They charge even MORE money to the people that DO pay. Oh, that doesn't effect you, you say...you have good health insurance. That's why the average health insurance premium goes up 4-12% EVERY year. It's costing your employer more money, which probably prevents you from getting the raise you deserve.
What makes illegals illegal is that they don't follow the same rules that you and I follow. I welcome ANYONE from ANYWHERE to come to our country if they'll abide by the same rules that all the other Americans have to abide by. Get a job, pay your taxes, and live the American Dream! I don't for one minute think they're taking a job away from a legal American...I wouldn't want to do the jobs that Illegals are doing. But they need to follow the same rules as everyone else.

Illegals are illegal. They may be human but they are illegal. I know that we'd be just as passionate about this as many illegals are here from Europe. I don't think that all of Africa is mud huts but a great many are. I've seen the documentarys regarding Africa, and I've seen Hotel Rwanda and I see not much humanity there at all. You don't know history very well as no one is indigenous to this continent, all immigrated from somewhere else, first here, The Vikings. So if you're not living in America and have no concept of the financial and social ruin we are facing due to illegls, I'd suggest that you do some research if you expect to; be taken seriously!

I did not see any question here, but I think people act the way they do out of fear. It is not necessarily rational, but still fear. Fear of the unknown and fear of losing what they have. Coupled with the fear (for those who are most extreme in their beliefs [big generalization here]) is greed. Now for the majority who are struggling with the issue of illegal immigrants are a number of factors: 1) the fact illegals are breaking the law, and 2) a sense of fairness - why should some people, by virtue of the fact they successfully got into this country illegally be rewarded when there are so many equally deserving people trying to get in legally. It is not an easy question or solution. Your point about this country's past and the way we treated the Native Americans is well taken. However, that is in the past and we cannot undo what has been done, but hopefully learn from it.

Yes,'illegals' are humans too, BUT!!... why can't they go through the system the right way? Go back to their country and do the paper work, instead of sneaking across the border(which is dangerous). I have nothing against 'illegals', just want them to do it the Right and legal way, then become a US citizen, and give up their country, that's why they came here in the first place, to work, not to bleed our system dry. I hope that I haven't stepped on any ones toes, its just how myself and many, many more 'Americans" feel! I'm just sick of every one not born here, thinking they have rights here, all I really have to say to the 'illegals' is ' If you want the same rights as an American, then do it the legal way and become a legal immigrant..heart and soul'. Be proud to be part of our great country, but... please do it right and then fly the American flag, proudly, support the USA, you can fly yours right beside it, and please, please learn English, so we can understand each other, you can speak your language when you visit your birth country or when with your friends and family here in the USA. Thank You!

I have not heard anyone refering to illegal aliens as wild animals.
"Illegal" means not legal. They have violated the law. They are criminals. Illegal has nothing to do with racism. Saying someone is a criminal is not a racist slur.
On the other hand, you just implied that everyone who opposes illegal immigration is a racist by saying their attitudes would be different if the illegal aliens were predominantly European. What about hispanics that oppose illegal immigration. Are they racist against themselves?
We need to strengthen our borders for our own national security. We need to give illegal aliens a short one time chance to leave. All persons here illegally after that short grace period should be cast into prison for a nice long stay instead of just deporting them and letting them try again in a few days.

Calling an illegal alien an illegal alien isn't racist. It's fact. It's what they are. What DO you want them called? Perhaps "Law-Breaking Mexicans Who Have Illegally Invaded Another Country and Infringed On the Rights of LEGAL Aliens"? I don't care if they come from Europe or (oops, yes i said it) Mexico (and the VAST majority ARE Mexican)...an illegal is an illegal. Each illegal alien is taking the rightful place of a LEGAL alien...whether they be from Africa, Asia, Europe, Central America or South America. They have no legal right to be here and (if they had any conscience whatsoever) would return to their native country and allow those who are trying to emigrate here legally to be able to. What makes Mexicans so special? Why should they be given a special dispensation when Haitians and Cubans are routinely returned to their countries?

i don't know about you, but I'm not from europe. i was born in the united states. family has been here since 1600s.and they didn't come illegally. i also have Native American in me. so yes i can say something. the majority of Americans have native American blood in them. and we pay taxes for their free medical and schooling. so yes we can complain about illegals being here. i work with a person from Australia, he's legally an American citizen. he thinks it's wrong and pathetic that they are illegally here. he payed, why can't they. and yes he's a poor white man.

No one said they aren't human. Illegal immigration is not a victimless crime.
BTW: "Unless youre Native American, we were all immigrants at one point" AT ONE POINT. Not now. I'm half Native American, but where do you think they came from? The mud and the air? Try the Bering Strait. We have laws that cannot be broken just because "b-b-b-but hundreds of years ago you did it too!" Different world entirely.

I don't mind as long as they pay the taxes they owe like the rest of Americans. They are moving several families into single family dwellings and avoiding the taxes which is overcrowding our schools, streets, jails, jobs etc.
They can come in and undercut the American working man by doing his job at a cheaper pay. We can hardly make it on what pay we have now let alone have someone who really is not doing their part as an American. They can afford to do this because they are not paying to live here in taxes.
Yet many have ways of getting around it all and using the gov. to get free handouts.
You are paying for their lively hood.
I don't think you are getting at the heart of the problem and your assuming it has to do with racism.
