Aum ji your thoughts are 101 percent like my own upon this
but I would say (since this ques is for me too) that I leave 60 percent of my ego yet the other 40 percent remains with me.

No. Neither I can not leave my ego nor the ego will leave me. I feel it must be the position with all others. Outside ego is different and ego in R & S different. R & S is born just few months back for me, i.e. from the day I started participating in R & S. I begin my relations with all without any ego but in some cases it develops due to their actions, which may not be upto my liking. In these cases I have found that the best way to douse (because Ego I consider like flaming fire) this ego is to keep them away from their Q & A and be active with others Q & A in R & S or other sections, as we are all addicted to Y!A nd there are pelenty of scope available to douse this addiction-
Edit- Ego is Ego - Be it Y!A or general life. The position according to me is same. The person who can abandond the ego in YA can as well do in general life and it will be end of many miseries and he can be happy in everything for ever. If abandoning Ego, of any sort, is possible, this word would not have found a place in the dictioneries.

If I had no ego, I wouldn't be the person that I am right now. I don't know if it is possible to get rid of it, but its a hard work. I tried to be neutral, non judging, when I answer to the questions. Im also honest with myself & others by saying what I think is right, or not.

Who decides to sit in front of the computer?
Who 'wants' to help?
Who, sometimes, wants to show off his understanding?
Why, my dear old ego!
Sometimes an answer comes straight out of the void.
Sometimes it comes via the intellect, to be honed and polished.
Rarely does it come purely as an expression of the ego.
I think that nobody is without an ego - such an idea is, in my opinion, mistaken.
The greatest masters have egos.
That's the difference!
Most people's egos have them.

Ego can not be left or removed. It will always be there. The thing is, it should be given proper direction or mode so that there will be conflit amongst us. R & S is such a nice platform where we can get our doubts, opinions, understandings cleared free of cast and with good wish. It is very good instrument to become rich in knowledge. Thank you for this question. You can delete my view if found inappropriate.

If self defending is ego then yes i was egoistic when some misconceptions were said/spread about Hinduism and India in my early stages of YA. but now a days i have started to omit those but still sometimes feel egoistic.

I tried to separate myself from my id on here. i realized tht i like just being me better. i am not afraid, so I just try to be myself fully. If this is what ego is, then all my ego is here.
I want to remain meek and humble, and hope that all this interaction with others will produce this in me.
I have a ton of pride when it comes to my guru and God, but I try to have no pride when it comes to my personal feelings.
Note the word 'try'.... it surfaces, but unless it's fully justified, I try and ignore it. there i go again.. try....

I inflate my ego at least twice, thinking that I have the best answers to the questions on the R&S.
I know though, that I am misplaced. And that immediately solves my ego problem!

"I"ness adopted by soul with body is EGO/,pseudo-soul Soul is individualised spirit. EGO is not aware of physical sensatins. SO no chance of ego in R& S
