Ok everyone understands the error you made with your strides.
You should be fine for todays workout. Wht you should try to do is keep your mileage consistant and slowly move away from the walking to build your endurance. If you are only going to work off of timed runs instead of mileage. Go for 30 minute run 3-4 times a week, unless you can handle 5. And on one of those days usually the day before a rest day go long at a slow pace. The long should be 20-30% longer than your usual run. So in your case if you go 30-40 minutes normally than go 36-48 minutes on your long day. Just remember its not how much you covered on that day just that you got the time in. And once you have done this for a week or two move it up 5-10% for daily runs and then adjust your long run as well.
Best of Luck!!!

I would faze out the walking, 40mins of slower running would improve your endurance more, and this would allow you to run more. I'm assuming seconds for your strides in which case you did about 65 mins yesterday so 40 today is fine.

Aim for 30-75 mins in a standard session, once a week do a long run which is about 150+mins. So both your sessions are fine, make sure no session is less than 30mins as you'll get too little benifit from this, but after a harder session its best to have an easier day the next anyway.

No it is not too little as it is something, anything more than those two are doing ^ ^ ^. I think you meant seconds when talking about the strides but I'd like to suggest you slowly gradually fade out the walking and do more running. I am sure you use it as your warm up, but you can also warm up with a slow jog for 10-15 minutes and then begin running. It is good to take easier days, and alternate your training.

I don't believe that you ran 6 hours first day, becouse even the most pro africans don't do training for 6 hours. And I propose you don't walk, just run but not so much... For example 30-40 min...

Yesterday I ate a hamburger, chips, had some wine...Zero walking...zero running. You are doing alot more than I am...be proud of yourself...and don't worry about "enough" exercise. Your body will let you know.

I am a recovering exerciser, used to do 1-2 hr aerobics, 1 hr tennis every day...with salad for lunch.

So be sure you take a multivitamin every day...otherwise, you might ruin your gums and bones.

You should be fine, but how did you manage the 6 hours or so yesterday?

That's fine. Don't feel bad if you don't do as much one day. You should also have at least one day to rest.
