Terrorism is an offence concerning every human being any where in the world & these terrorist as rightly stated by our Prime Minister don't belong to any religion or any country they are just terrorist who have to be brought to books & punished severely. As a law abiding citizen your duty is to help the law enforcing bodies in getting hold of such people whether they live in Bangalore or any part of India or the world. As far giving or taking bribe for any official job by a public servant itself is a crime & punishable under the Prevention of Corruption Act1988, if any Police officer demand that one must make a criminal complaint against such a person rather then paying him Rs100/- or any amount for any official job which he is supposed to do as an official. Verification for passport required proof of your residence & statement of two neighbors who verify your place & time of residence nothing more then that, as far as other criminal records if those exist against you are concerned these are already with the local police station hence they are not inquiring about those, based on all these information the police officer gives his report to the passport authorities. If your proof of residence, verification of two neighbors & no criminal record exist you need not bother for this legal formality done by local police & it does not make you to pay any thing for this, but still if you pay Rs100/- to the police officer then you yourself are committing this offence of giving bribe under the said Act.

It is once again a case of our Police becoming overtly active after the harm has been done! It is a matter of shame that now they come out with so many facts which they should have garnered prior to let the criminal leave our shores. They should realize that their negligence has caused the nation to hang its face! Now, as never before, an emergency has arisen when there is the urgent need to revamp our police system. The policy of "Golden shake hand" be pursued to relieve the persons with long experience and ennui and introduce new blood. The police force was a power to reckon during the British Raj, why free India could not regain that glory in its diamond jubilee year?

i think regarding the uk terror link, the two convicts should be brought under serious focus and proper investigation should be carried out regarding their national and international links. if the police is running afer money and not investigating properly then they will not only bring shame in the name of the country but in justice,as well. if the suspected are innocent the police should labour hard to omit their names from international terror list and let them go scott-free.

The very serious question is what do the police actually have against the two detainees? Being Muslim is not reason enough. As Indians lets all pray for their safe return to India.
