Apart from Jesus (the obvious answer). I'd have to say Job because he went through so much yet he never cursed God and he never asked why. He was a brave man. Even when his wife asked him to curse God he never did. He lost so much and yet he was loyal to God. He is truly an inspiration.

Elijah.
He walked with God.
He was a renowned prophet who saw the vehicle of God's throne, the seraphim, cherubim, and zune.
He never died but was transfigured and ascended to Heaven.
He will be by many indications one of the two witnesses to arrive in Jerusalem at the end times who will be killed by the antichrist then arise on the third day incorruptible.
A most auspicious life for any Christian.

Other than Jesus, it would probably be a woman like Deborah the Judge,Queen Esther, or Abigail who eventually married King David. These kind, level-headed, courageous women did what they had to do, even when it was risky and out of the ordinary from "women's work". They set good examples for me.

Most will say Jesus, as will I. However, after Him, I must say Elijah.
Elijah was very flawed. He was, alternately, and fearful. But, when he had to face the 800 prophets of Ba'al, he was brave and bold. He had Holy Ghost courage to stand against so many and show that day who served the real God.

The Triune God would be my first choice, but if you mean human, I think it might be Moses, having to spend 40 years in the desert with over a million complainers on a trip that could have been completed in 2 weeks, yes 2 weeks !!!!

Prophet Isaiah!
why?
Isaiah was a young fellow whose mouth was a little dirty. I don't know what the sins of his lips were, maybe he was guilty of cursing and I can think of nothing any more uncivilized than using God's name in vain.
A person who can't use decent language ought to keep his mouth shut! A person who can't speak without being profane ought not to speak! A young man who can't speak without using dirty, filthy language ought to keep his mouth shut!
Maybe Isaiah was guilty of vulgar language, I don't know. Maybe dirty jokes, maybe dirty gossip, I don't know, but I know one thing. God CAME AND TOUCHED THE LIPS OF ISAIAH, because Isaiah had unclean lips. Isaiah was an optimist and God TOUCHED his lips.
Isa 6:6-7- "6 Then flew one of the seraphims unto me, having a live coal in his hand, which he had taken with the tongs from off the altar: 7 And he laid it upon my mouth, and said, Lo, this hath touched thy lips; and thine iniquity is taken away, and thy sin purged."

Paul. There is a guy that went from being a terrorizer of Christians unto being the #1 messenger of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. His teachings are the heart of the New Testament.

I love reading about Job, and how He was patient in tribulation. He was not perfect in it always, but he said "I know that My Redeemer Lives". What a wonderful attitude to have, with all He went through.
His example has inspired me, when I have gone through trials.

King David – a sinner through and through but he had a zeal for God that was remarkable ... so much so that God called him "a man after my own heart." I don't want to sin as David did, but I'd sure love to manifest more zeal!
