At first we thought she had been bit by a dog, or another animal, but it looks now as if its a scratch. It's not very red, nor as swollen as it was. But her left leg is bigger/fatter than the other. She had a temperature, but now its gone down, a lot. She doesn't want to put pressure on the leg, such as stand up. She just wants to lay on the bed with a towel covering her. Which we allow her. I keep feeding her, but she doesn't want to eat out of a bowl or cup. She just eats it out of my hand. I dont know what to do, and I know everyone here is going to say take her to the vet, which will happen. But is there anything else? Will it pass? Thanks!!

You really should have your dog seen by your vet. sounds like infection may have set in and thats why it is swollen. Your dog will probably need anitbiotics and rest.
Make an appointment today and have the dog seen as soon as you can. It has to be very painful and no I don't think it will pass all on it's own with out a vets helps.

Good luck!

If it's an infection it won't pass, she'll need antibiotics.

You've answered your own question.....take her to the vet.

PS...did you take her temperature rectally? That's the only way to find out if an animal has a fever.

Vet. Immediately. Not later, now. Your dog is dying. Yes it will pass, when your dog is DEAD. Vet now get off the computer and take your dog to the Vet.

Would you like your dog to be Lame or three legged

If not
Take him immeditely to a vet...............She probably have contracted some infection and this swelling is because of inflammation.

Do not delay pls let the poor soul have medical attention.
Hope that helps
