No. I feel secure in my beliefs and am open to others ideas and beliefs but not willing to convert to their religion.

Good question. I can't see where it is wrong for someone to try to change your views on religious matters. If I have a different understanding of something, I should be open to the thinking of others. I could be wrong. I have been wrong before and when I realized I was incorrect, I gladly accepted the truth."The truth shall make you free." This is a good reason to study your Bible, and to attend a Bible believing Church, where the word of God is taught.

There is not reason why someone cannot express their point of view. The problem comes when we try to enforce our view and beliefs on others. That our beliefs are the way and yours is not. There in lies the war of the ages. If when trying to change a view the other does not want to listen then it is only reasonable to back off and accept the difference.

I certainly think I have some ideas that are worthily of adoption by others, but I will only persent them and if they are acceptable to that person after they have listened then so be it, if they are not then it is beholden to be to let it go,

It seems pretty controlling to me and it implies you're too stupid to have thought about it before they came along to save the day.

Imagine if religion was food... you've looked at the menu for all a while and finally chosen something...
...the person at the next table, who came into the restaurant at the same time you did and has never eaten there before, leans over and says
"you've made the wrong choice, what I ordered is better. In fact what you ordered will make you die"

It's kind of like that but more rude and intrusive (c;

Someone must have formed your religious views to begin with, unless you invented your own religion. If you're praying to a statue with six arms or cutting off the heads of chickens I think it's a good idea for someone were to have a little "chat" with you.

no, its not right. someone who tries to change an individual's views on religion doesn't respect that person's views. people have to accept that we all believe different things, and we all just need to respect that.

Wrong. You can explain your religion to someone, why you believe in what you believe in, and hope that maybe they will ponder and consider it. It is wrong to shove your ideas down someone's throat and tell them they are going to hell unless they believe. That would just ruin your relationship with that person because no one likes it when their beliefs are assaulted.

Wrong.

I hate it when people try to push their beliefs and religion onto me.

I give them plenty of chances to respect my feelings and beliefs before I start getting rude.

Yes I think it is rude because religion is a personal thing and the individual should decide what they believe in.

It is wrong to "try to change" anyone for any reason! You can only change yourself. If you allow others to change you, then you are no longer yourself.
