What time does your 3 year old go to sleep? What time do they wake in the morning? How many total hours of sleep do they get a day? My daughter does not nap most days (sometimes here or there). She gets 11 hours about a day, but still seems tired!

Our 2 and half year old doesnt nap either. But I do require him to have a "quiet time" each afternoon and lay quietly and look at books and relax. Since I started doing this sometimes he falls asleep and sometimes not but he doesnt seem to be so tired in the evening and late afternoon. Maybe that will work for your daughter.

I have 3 year old twins and they are usually in the bed by 8 or 8:30 at night. They sleep until about 7:15 am which is around 11 hours, but mine still nap. At daycare they usually nap 2 hours and at home 2-3 hours in the afternoon. We put them down for naps at 12:30 or 1:00. Sometimes they have a hard time napping, but if I go in there and sit with them so they don't try to talk or play they go right to sleep. I have to make sure my two get a nap or they are super grumpy. Might be helpful to try to get in the routine of putting her down for a nap at least she'll have the opportunity to rest if your worried about her. Good luck!!

well if she is getting 11 hrs a sleep a day that is good even if she does not nap . I mean it is good for them to nap but all kids are not the same and some nap and some dont . I would not be worried about it . good luck .

When our son was about 2 he stopped napping. no amount of coaxing could get him to go sleep during the day. And he would stay up after 9pm and get up before 6am. He NEVER seemed tired.

Is you daughter getting enough exercise? I know too much time watching TV and not enough time exercising leaves me tired.

Some children do not require naps.
My oldest stopped taking naps as soon as I switched him to a toddler bed. The next two took naps right up until they began school. Every child is different..................
