is pork more of an issue than a fence?

Well, as an adopted North Carolinian, I have to say pork is good. In fact, pork hasn't gone wildly up in price since Smithfield decided to comply with federal law and make sure that everyone working at the NC plant is here legally. A lot of people left work without gving the customary two weeks notice. Now hundreds of people have a job they couldn't get before, along with health benefits they couldn't imagine.

The really funny thing is, the company might have continued to pay slave labor wages if we had a fence and it actually kept illegals out. So, not only do we need to build a fence (heck we need that so badly), but we also need to remind employers of the value in paying employees a living wage.

BTW, I know what sort of pork the asker means, just in case anyone thinks I'm off my rocker.

The fence is a political monster. The shamnesty bill killed the DEM's for the illegals now they could care less about the fence> hoping if elected in 08 to bring amnesty back.VOTES .They want the power at the cost of the USA citizen.Remember nobody moves nobody get hurt.Thats why nothing getting done. Money & big business are the REP= Big business dosen't want the fence eather. So who win? We the people have spoken once an killed the A Bill so keep calling on the fence & enforce our laws.

Because the congress is a bunch of bumbling fools, who wouldnt know how to manage a nation if it were spelled out for them on a giant piece of construction paper with a 4 foot crayon.

The latest immigration "reform" bill was fronted by our Idiot King "president," and a bi-partisan team of Senators.

Let's keep the focus where it belongs -- on Democrats *and* Republicans. Both parties. And let's keep reminding our "representatives" that they work for the law-abiding, American taxpayer, not illegal immigrants.

A fence with sniper towers is what we need. That should curb illegal immigration.
