Past few days and nights he has had a fever of 102.3 or higher. Theres no rash just fever, sweats at night and has a small appetite. Can this be related to his tick bite he had? Any help would be appreciated..Thanks..

Yes, it could be. Ticks carry many diseases and your son could have caught one. I would make an appointment with his pediatrician ASAP. Be sure to tell his doctor that he had a tick bite.

Your sons fever is unlikely to be related to a tick bit a few months ago. Rocky Mountain Spotted fever (RMSF) symptoms generally show within 10 days of being bitten by an infected tick. You can look at http://www.kidshealth.org/parent/infections/bacterial_viral/rocky.html for more information about RMSF. However if he has had a fever for a few days you really should take him to see a doctor

It could be. Ticks are notorious for carrying disease. I myself caught spotted fever from one when I was small, and then there is Lyme disease.

Since this has continued for several days, a visit to the doctor is in order.

Good luck!
