it's been now more than 2 years that my wife has given up on smoking. suddenly, for no apparent reason, for the past weeks, she tells me that she's having difficulty to get cigarettes out of her mind.
i explained that she did great for the past years,I encourage her to forget about cigarets,.... i can tell that she's fighting against her will....
should i let her smoke one??

No, once she starts, she can't stop. So, either she remains a non-smoker or becomes a smoker.

Absolutely not! It's a slippery slope for a smoker, just as it is for any other addict. It starts with one, and then it quickly progresses to a full reversal.

2 years should be more than enough to get rid of one's craving. I don't want to throw any accusations, but it's possible that your wife may have already started smoking behind your back, and now is just seeking your approval.

Find out what's bothering her really, because this may be just her way of telling you something is wrong.

Well Why did she quit? Did she quit because she absolutely had to for health reasons or did she quit for other reasons? You might ask her if anything is wrong and if there is talk about it. If you smoke or you know someone who does and she really needs one than maybe you can get her one and she can have one this way she doesnt have them in the home where they are readily available to her. Unless this is for her health of course like if she has something wrong with her than I wouldnt have one.

Well first of all, you shouldn't LET her do anything except make her own decisions for herself.
Secondly, just what the first says. Let her make the decision to not smoke. Tell her that you do not support her smoking any ANYTHING. Also be sure to tell her that you love her, and that you love her for being so strong to breath clean air for 2 years already!
Suggest that she meditate, this may ease her mind from cigs.

If its been 2 years Id say no. Try something new, like find a new food or something to tie her over so she don't crave them anymore. I'm a smoker but Ive been doing it. Its been 2 years for her Id say no. but its totally up to you, you know her best. Hope that helped!

I gave up smoking recently with the help of a perscription pill called Chantix. It helps to take away the cravings. It might be what she needs to take the edge off. I do think it helps.

Let her do what she wants you chauvanist pig. This isn't the dark ages anymore. Women don't need their husband's permission on everything. How'd you meet her, did you bash her over the head and drag her back to your cave?

I don't smoke I personally hate it, but I can't stand knuckle dragging neanderthals who think we women are their own personal slaves either. You'd do well to lose your misogynist attitude

Of course not. Stay with her and encourage her. If you let her smoke one today, tomorrow she might need 2,3,4.... and so on....

I am afraid it is not your decision to make. You can encourage inspire and support, but you can't make her do diddly. Good luck.
