I'm like you. But not quite that much. I drink about 2-3litres a day.
It's not bad, but it's not good either. Water is important but we really don't even need to drink a litre a day. We get nearly all the water we need from the foods we eat. You can drink too much water and eventually it will fill up your lungs.
But when you drink a litre of water at a time your body only processes a very small amount of it. The rest just goes straight out the other end.
It would be so much better for you to drink this water is glasses through out the day. Then your body can absorb it.
But water wont make you fat but you may feel a bit bloated.

Constipation is a symptom of dehydration, so drinking more water will alleviate this unpleasant problem. Never drink too much water, and 8 glasses of Water per day is the limit for Humans.

Too much water will cause Electrolytes imbalance in you. It will wash out every good thing from the body along with with the bad.
Excess of anything is bad. Even water.
About 8 glasses a day is about as much as one should take, maximum.
Also never ever drink a litre at a time. The Cardiologist said so to us. Just about 2 glasses max.

No, IT'S NOT ok. Too much water will make you feel bloated
and you will need the loo more often. Also, when
drinking you sit and sip.... do not gulp down litres at a time.
2 litres a day is sufficient.

Eat only when hungry and not more than thrice a day. Nothing other than water in between. Include plenty of uncooked vegetables and fruits in each meal, preferably 50%. Chew each morsel at least 32 times to activate ur body to generate signals of hunger/fullness. Obey these signals.
Take light exercises and brisk walks regularly preferably twice a day.
U will achieve what u have not even dreamt and that too in a reasonable time. Do not be in a hurry.

That's a lot of water and unless you're sweating several litres a day I would advise you to cut it down to about three litres.
The problem is that if you drink too much water you can wind up diluting your blood which can cause a lot of health problems. Basically your electrolytes wind up in a smaller concentration than they should be. This can lead to things like rapid heartbeat, lungs filling with fluid, seizures and even death.
So yes, it's very possible to drink too much water.

No, when you think it is too much, definitely not. Drink only when you are thirsty, and not more than 2 litres per day.
Your gastric juices can get diluted, your nervous system can get out of gear and the kidneys can be overloaded.

People who don't know what they are talking about, often give potentially dangerous advice in ignorance (hopefully not malice!).
Drinking too much water has the potential to KILL YOU. Your electrolytes NEED TO BE in balance for the body to function properly. If they get even a little bit out of balance your body can go into severe shock. If you have destabilized your body ENOUGH, it can kill you. It is as simple as that.

If it is hot and you are exercising a lot, you may need more water, but if not, then you run the risk of an electrolyte imbalance. Electrolytes like sodium, potassium, calcium regulate your body and muscles, such as the heart, so you can over do the water, dilute your electrolytes, and have very serious problems. People have died. So be reasonable. Good question.
