This is exactly how women should be treated. I have never met men who are more respectful and protective of women than Muslim men. My husband treats me like and equal and we share everything housework, children, money you get the drift but more so he protects me and treats me like my happiness and well being is like his own.

Rather than quote passages to us, why don't you actually do and do something. However you might interpret the scriptures, it is clear that others don't share your view.
Ask the thousands of uneducated, oppressed terrified women living in Afghanistan how they interpret the scriptures, or their fathers and husbands.
Rather than stating your view on women, do something to actively condemn the views held by others of your faith.
