You should love him and accept him no matter what. (And let him know you love him and accept him no matter what...all the time.)

Be glad you have a kid who reads. First, make sure that he isn't staying in because he's being bullied or is bad at sports but really wants to play. If everything is OK find out what he's reading about and find him an activity outside of home and school that follows that interest. Maybe there are science or art programs offered near you. In any case, don't push him. If he seems unhappy offer help. If not, leave him alone. Reading can lead to a lifetime of pleasure.

Oh, I wish I had that problem. My son is the exact opposite, he hates to read and always needs to have someone over to play with. When no one is available, he doesn't know what to do with himself. I was also a bookworm when I was a kid, I still am. Just be happy that you have a smart, imaginative kid, and let him do what he wants to in his free time. Still, you might want to ask him if he had trouble with some of the other kids, if that's the reason he wants to spend more time indoors.

Buy him more books! If he wants to read and expand his mind that does not mean that he is lazy. It means that he has found something that interests him more than football.
Perhaps he will actually become a literate person who makes a difference in the world.
Good for him!!

super question and impressive scripture to help it. of direction they'll in no way provide up publishing the literature, no longer till Armageddon. in the event that they stopped analyzing their books and in simple terms used the Bible, hundreds of thousands might probable bypass away and the Governing physique could no longer have that, ought to they? for people who suggested that JW's do learn the Bible and in ordinary terms use their books to help it, what utter nonsense. whilst an fascinated person starts a so stated as bible learn he reads the a number of chapters of the main recent 'learn help', at present a e book stated as 'What does the Bible fairly coach', or 'coach e book' for short. The Bible is in simple terms used to help the instructions of the society, and, subsequently they 'cherry %. remoted scriptures that seem to 'coach' they are suitable. So, for occasion, in the event that they are staring at Jesus, they pick scriptures that seem to deny his deity yet heavily avert concerning people who coach it. on the tip of each learn area there are questions, the solutions to that are all interior the passages in simple terms study. the scholar is predicted to apply the given solutions, if he does so he's congratulated and made to experience extremely clever because of the fact he has chanced on 'a bible certainty' all on his very own. If he solutions in yet otherwise then he has no longer extremely 'seen the reality' and is gently brainwashed some extra till he does. how in the international can that be stated as a learn of the Bible? some JW's might element out that for the duration of addition they learn the Bible, one e book at a time, yet even it fairly is achieved decrease than education utilising yet yet another e-e book to make constructive that they do no longer detect something that famous the lies.

Oh lucky you that he enjoys reading! My boys are just the opposite. I think as parents we have to help our kids stay balanced. Just set aside outside play time and you probably have to get out there with him. For one hour (or whatever you decide) we will be outside everyday. Help engage him make sure he has balls or bubbles, bikes ,or what ever would help him enjoy his outdoor time. Discuss it with him before hand and let him know to stay healthy you have to stay active.Good luck!

Boys sometimes go through a phase like this - but also talk with him to see if there's a reason why he no longer wants to go out - bullying perhaps?
Books are fine but he must have exercise - if he is temporarily fed up with football and team games enrol him in a swimming club or (if it may be bullying) a martial art to get his confidence up.

so ya got yourself a reader, huh? well, don't tear yourself up over it, probably got infected at school, they tend to have a few intellectuals lurking around in the shadows, probably gave the kid a book. but, you're gonna need to keep an eye on him, at least he's not out infecting the other kids. but if you don't watch out he could get edumacated and try to change the world. next thing you know he'll be talking about going to college, a breeding ground for radicalism.

See what is the cause of this. Is he more talented than the kids, or is he suffering from lack of confidence? Is he merely not interested in their games, or is there sb annoying him in the group. Does he have problem with social groups in general or is it only this case.
However, your love and SUPPORT is the most important thing a child needs.

Geez, with all respect , I cant stop Laughing!. I coached U18 footy teams in 200 something games and the biggest problem I had was Mothers wanting their kids,... not at training in the cold and slushy mud,.. but at home studying their books ! Congratulations, your son is .......intelligent...ENCOURAGE... him, he is an individual , love it, ..love him,.. show interest, communicate with him. Life is all about POSITIVE and Negative .... have you drifted to the negative here,?
be POSITIVE it comes first and so can you and your son !!
