Why does every UFC match look like a gay porno?

I tried to watch UFC but half the match was two guys clinching each other. It looked like they were trying to dry hump or something.

"It's not gay unless you make eye contact." so that's at least what i hear. anyways, a fight in the UFC is a MMA fight. That means that there are going to be quiet a few different styles being used. One of the most common styles is Muay Thai. In Muay Thai and a few other 'striking arts', there is what they call the 'clinch' and yes it does look like they're hugging. in the clinch it makes it easier to deliver knee, elbow blows, and perform takedowns. from there, you can go to the ground where you try to 'mount' your opponent and beat the crap out of the other guy or you can try for a submission via arm bar, kumorah, guilotine choke, tri-angle choke, rear-naked choke, etc. i'm sure i said a few things in there that would further make it look like a gay prono but hey, i didn't come up with the names. i guess the reason it looks that way is because you have to half-naked men rolling around together and getting sweaty. if that bothers you, then don't watch UFC or any MMA if that's the way you're gonna think about it. however, if you can forget about the gay porno you reget watching and think of it as fighting, then you might be able to get into it.

Why does Tae Kwon do look to some like trying to flick flies off the top of a 7 foot tall man's head with the tip of the toes? Why does Karate look like constipation (horse stance always looked too intense, if you know what I mean)? Why does Escrima look like two apprehensive men with thin bamboo sticks tapping out an r&b beat?

Seriously, there are a million different ways to look at the thousands of different artforms and styles. But if it looks like gay porn so much, maybe you need to stop watching gay porn. Just my opinion. Or, if you enjoy it looking like gay porn, please, don't ever fight me. I'd kick you in the third leg, if you catch my drift.

Frankly, there's been about as many posts about this as there have been questions about "What's the best style?" And everytime we answer it, there's a million wannabes saying "You're absolutely right! UFC and MMA sucks." And no matter what we, the proponents of MMA, say to you in our answers, you'll pick some chump that said "dude u r so 4 reel gr8t qestion?" And the mispelling is on purpose, by the way.

So next time you watch UFC, don't. Just put in one of the many gay pornos you own and get right to whatever action you were expecting. Meanwhile, we'll be right here kicking the crap out of one another for fun and profit, while you wallow in the decadent afterthought of your own banal life.

Sorry I have never watched a gay porno so I can't make the connection. What the hell is dry hump anyway? Would you say that to any college wrestler or high school wrestler for that matter? One of those guys would probably slam you on your head and that would be the end of it. Why do you think it's called MMA anyway it's not a boxing match. I think a lot of it comes down to respect for the many different styles of fighting out there, and guess what grappling is part of that game. If that is too much for you to handle stick with boxing or maybe golfing.

Anyways, I have nothing against UFC/IFL/MMA, and I have respect for the competitors. They are GOOD. But I think some ppl are overreacting to your question. I mean, two sweaty, muscular men in boxer shorts mounted atop each other and hugging each other?

Blame it on the gov't agency that regulates safety standards on contact sports and violence on American television. During the UFC's early years, it was pretty much a no holds barred fighting type of event with only groin strikes and eye gouging forbidden from being used by fighters. But pressure to ensure the safety of the fighters after public outrage from deaths in another contact sport, boxing, forced the management to revise their rules and basically forbid any strikes that they consider to be potentially fatal, thereby eliminating kicks to the head or body while an opponent is down, which forces fighters to engage in a tussle when on the ground, so you now end up watching what appears to be a sado-masochistic Village People wrestling match.
