''gaotu'' (great architect of the universe) is the god of the freemasons, also called ''the nameless one of a thousand names.'' when you see the masonic logo with the ''G'' in the middle of it, it stands for ''gaotu.''
freemasons (deists) believe that all gods are God, to one degree or another. the masonic cult sees the bible as nothing more than a good source of morality, and does not allow the name of Jesus to be spoken in the lodge, though they do use select bible verses in their teachings. this is the main reason the group is so secretive, as the group was created in what used to be christian europe. they believe heaven is only attainable by good works, and they attempt to build heaven on earth through these works, thus the title ''mason.''

The Freemasons do not require their members to believe in any specific god. Members must simply acknowledge the existence of "a supreme being"

Actually "GAOTU" meant "Great Architect of the Universe" (Freemasonry uses a lot of acronyms). Freemasonry has no "Deity" as such, because, strictly speaking, it is a system of morality" and not a religion. The choice of a personal deity is left up to the individual preference of the person. One must only acknowledge that there IS one! Unfortunately , this has fallen by the wayside, and there are now "christian" sects of Freemasonry, which is precisely antithetical to the principle of Freemasonry as a universal brotherhood.
Freemasonry is not "satanic", BTW, that is a vicious rumour covertly bruited about and perpetrated by the Vatican to discredit Freemasonry. It is the RCC that is directly responsible for the establishment and perpetration of "satanism" in the world, and also for the idea of Freemasonry as a worldwide conspiracy with " world domination" as its goal.. In fact, just as the RCC is responsible for the existence of "satanism"as such, the RCC is the organization that is the one who is actually behind the scheme of "world domination"; they have simply used Freemasonry as a 'red herring" to conceal their own nefarious activities in this regard. One has only to look at the history of the RCC to see that this is true. How many RC churches are there, compared to the number of Masonic Lodges, in any town or city? Which one clearly has the more money? Which one insists that its followers submit to its authority and not ask questions? Which insists that its adherents accept its intrusion into areas of life in which it has no business whatever? When you think about these hard facts, the simple truth of the matter becomes patent.

I'm not a Freemason, so I can't be sure, but I believe they are monotheists, if they are theists at all. And any monotheist has to acknowledge that it's all the same God, since they postulate only one.
One, only one, of the reasons why I can't understand the hassling between Christians and Jews, Jews and Muslims, Christians and Muslims. One God, what's their problem? Different names for said god? Big deal; you're going to fight wars over that?
Don't bother about names if you are a monotheist. Just call him/her/it The One and end all the ruckus!

First, Masonry is NOT a religion and does not substitute for a member's own religion. Masronry requires one to believe in a Supreme Being, but leaves the decision of which Supreme Being up to the member.
Second, Masonry is NOT Satanic. Satan is never mentioned in any Masonic ritual. That is simply the invention of anti-Masonic 19th century idiots.
Third, Jesus is not mentioned in Masonic ritual, but neither is Mohammed or Buddha or Joseph Smith or any other prophet/priest/savior tied to a single religion. Masonry is not a religion, so why talk about religious issues? To talk about Jesus would alienate Jewish members, even though the majority of American Masons are Christians.

They SAY you can believe in any deity.. but get up high enough, and you'll discover it's Satanic. There is no way the two can reconcile.
