Why would you purpose to go on less sleep?

There are times and purposes in our lives when loss of sleep cannot be helped. (Such as being the parent of a new baby or sick child) It is very draining on your whole being, and risks illnesses and health problems, as well as lowers your mental functioning. If performing duties with machinery or driving a car when sleep deprived, this can place you and others into a potentially dangerous situation.

Lack of sleep does happen. Overall those who do so long-term lack wisdom. That's my advice.

Set your alarm first of all. And drink a couple of glasses of water before bed. Not too much, but just enough that when your alarm goes off you will have to get up before your bladder bursts.

Go to bed early and wake up early. Seven hours of sleep is more than enough and try to practice to wake up every day the same time of the morning.
