It seems they didn't do the OEM thing as they normally do - OEM IS licensed, butyours isn't - I live in Singapore and would love to kow where you bought that from?
OEM comes with NO disks, if there's a problem, they format the laptop - standard procedure.
You can call your closest Microsoft Tech support office, and see what they can do, but there are support issues.

It sounds like you have an unlicensed version of Office. Microsoft software checks the registry for the license key each time you start an application (or in the case of the OS, start the computer). After the 25th attempt, the system will lock you out. You can ring Microsoft and tell them the issue. If you've bought the machine from a reputable source, they should be able to supply you with the key. OEMs (people who sell boxes with preinstalled software) do not normally provide the original discs with your purchase.

1. It's only a 90 day Trial version. 2. See P.S. below.
Try the free and M$-Office compatible Open Office from:
Just make sure that if you want others to be able to view the documents using M$-Office Word, save them using "Save as..." in the .doc format, instead of the default .odt format. Or use the built-in PDF creation feature.
Included: Writer (Word), Calc (Excel), Impress (PowerPoint), Base (Access), Draw (M$-Paint) and Math
P.S. I have a legal Office 2003 Student & Teacher version for sale. Email me.

As Colin says the pre-installed MS Office is only trial software and it will stop working if you don't buy a license from MS.
You can get a free office application from http://www.openoffice.org which has much the same applications and will open the documents you've already made.

Use the maximum recent version of Microsoft. in case you will no longer be able to get it suitable, then print it out on reliable paper and mail it. i might take it in person and hand it to them. Solves all of the subjects. What they might open relies upon on what comfortable ware they have. observe.record is Microsoft observe tho. Any report ends with .record. often with an older version of Microsoft, there are updates on the Microsoft website and that they provide translators to the older variations so as that they might open the extra moderen variations. And maximum artwork places have the extra moderen version of observe. i might think of 6.0 is the maximum recent verson. try utilising save as and then call the report like resume. observe will placed the .record on the tip of the report call. Then bypass to open report and notice in case you will discover that report and notice that it has the .record on the tip of your report call. Then open your digital mail and connect that report to it. that should preserve it.
