if i want to stop a truck without damaging it, what are the ways in which i can do this

i want to stop the truck from outside..i am not driving it. someone else is, and i want to stop it without any violence to the truck. whats the best part to immpobilise in a truck, the quickest?

steer it into a "run away pit" on hills and mountain these are long sand traps that truckers use if their brakes fail.

what kind of truck are you trying to stop? Truck can mean anything from a Toyota pickup to an 18 wheeler. If you're trying to stop an 18 wheeler from outside the truck, pull the emergency side air hose off the trailer. That's the red hose between the tractor and trailer. It will lock the trailer brakes.

Any other type of truck, I guess you would have to block the road and hope it stops before damaging it.

Tell the driver that theres a baby doll in a red convertible with no top on at the next exit, I guarantee he will stop in a hurry.

? Apply the brakes...
if no brakes, USE the Emergency/Parking brake...
downshift from D~drive into lower gears "engine Brake"...

Tell the driver to stop... Or yell at him "Hit the Break....!!!!"
