My daughter is 4 years old, and we send her to a Convent School for LKG. Her problem is KEEPING SILENCE with her Class Miss, but she speaks with all her class mates and even with other sisters and teachers. At home she speaks well and plays well. But she refuses to talk to her Class miss alone. We as parent advised her often and she do not activate our advice. Please counsel us what we should do.

this is a normal phenomenon for a 4 yr old!!!!
they r very keen observers and even a small incident will be registered in their mind
i feel she must have observed her teacher SCOLD/TELL some child and she has gone on a DEFENSIVE!!!
that is all!!!
she will open up ones she comes to know that the teacher is no DEVIL!!!

Maybe you should spend a little time with the teacher with you daughter present. Be respectful but friendly toward the teacher. Ask questions about the school and activities and show an interest in the school. Can you volunteer a little time in the classroom and interact in a friendly way with the teacher? Perhaps your daughter will be more accepting of her if she sees you showing acceptance and friendliness toward the teacher. Children take social cues from their parents and if you model acceptance and a positive attitude toward the teacher, she may open up.

There is obviously something that frightens her about the adult or the situation, Maybe she saw another child being disciplined or misunderstood something someone said.
The more she sees you having a good relationship with the teacher the more likely she is to warm up. Maybe you could invite the teacher to your home. In any case, don't make a big fuss over this or she's apt to be more convinced not to talk. As she gets more comfortable or relaxed she will probably be fine.

she might b scared of teacher i dont think so u should worry abt it coz most of d students have this problem(even i myself) simply try to talk 2 her abt her miss that how kind ,generous ,loving n caring she is. if she will study or participate in diff activities, her miss will give her a reward.n tell d miss 2 give her chocolates , pencil ,sharpner or nything for her good performence in order 2 make her speak out.
