Here is the situation.. Please take the time to read and tell me what u think. Thanks?

I have a boyfriend that I get along with very well. We are very close and spend everyday together. All in all, he's a great guy. But he's been out of town for the past week or so and I ran into an old friend.

He's a fireman that I was very attracted to and we went on a couple of dates in the past. When I ran into him, we talked a bit. He expressed how attracted he is to me and to be honest, this is a sincere and genuine guy. He offered to show me his condo in Venezuela and talked about traveling together with me. Here he is offering me the world but I chose to tell him that I'm in a relationship and want to make it work with my boyfriend. My boyfriend returns tomorrow and I don't want him coming back to deal with all of this. The fireman was pissed. Should I offer him friendship or just let him be? Did I do the right thing? Thanks

What it sounds like to me, is that this fireman was desperately trying to get in your pants and knows that because he is fireman, and you find him attractive, it should have been easy. However, when you rejected him, he didn't like it very much, hence the "pissed". Also sound like there was never really a friendship at all, so let it be.

Honestly... I think you should tell your boyfriend about running in to your "old friend" It would be worse if someone he knows saw you hanging around with the fireman while your boyfriend was out of town... and then told him about . You'll feel better about being honest, and based on your boyfriend's reaction (angry, jealous, cool, appreciative?) you'll be able to see his true colors... and see if he trusts you. The right thing to do is often the hardest thing to do. The fact that you opted to spend time with fireman says to me that you might still have feelings for him, and have mixed feelings about your present boyfriend.

Best of luck to you!

First thing is that, your situation's like hitting two birds with one stone, or walking along two diverging roads at the same time. I think you did the right thing. Anyway, if you really loved your boyfriend, you couldn't give yourself to an old friend knowing he's also showing off motives. But what you did may have two implications: either you'd hurt the other guy or he would accept his defeat.

You did great! Live for today and tomorrow takes you by surprise. It sounds like you are making plans for your future. The fireman being pissed should tell you something.GOOD FOR YOU!!

If you love your boyfriend, you did the right thing. If this guy is pissed, too bad. If he says anything, just tell your boyfriend that he is mad because he wanted to be with you, and you told him that you wanted to remain with your boyfriend.
