Most Mormons just believe in God and Mormonism because there raised into it. They would most likely shrug this prophesies off as an opinion rather than doctrine. Or else they would cop out and say that he didn’t mean literally, but symbolically. And give the monster symbolic meanings that does not contradict there traditional God.

Have no clue who Gordie B. is and surprisingly enough (considering I'm a cat prone to curiosity and all that) don't really want to know. "Flying Spaghetti Monster?" Okay, there's some form of drugs involved in this, isn't there? Come on, tell me at least that much. I don't want any, trust me, just curious?

What happened to questions that had some revelance to them? Ok. Save that. I'll post it on the Q!.

Why would he do that?

Besides, if he receives any sort of revelation that is so radically different than anything we've done before (for example, the 1978 revelation about all worthy male members hodling the priesthood), he would discuss it first with his counselors and the Quorum of the Twelve, and ask THEM to pray about it, too. They must all be in agreement that it is from God.

President Hinckley is our current Prophet. The Catholics think the Pope is a Prophet. Pick on them for awhile!

Since he is a prophet, he wouldn't do that, so don't hold your breath.

Being a prophet though does not make him perfect. Only Christ was perfect. The rest of us are prone to make mistakes.
