I knew you'd get blasted for this one. What's racist about saying something that is benign and true? There are differences in people. Blacks smoke menthol cigarettes more often than other groups. So what? It's a preference. It's not racist to point out real differences. As to "why" I've learned that often the best answer to that is "because."

I do NOT mean this in a racist way but it has been found that a lot (but not all) black people like the various flavored soda's: Orange, Grape, Strawberry etc. While on the other hand whites tend to prefer cola's and other kinds of sodas.
You can go to any store in any mostly black part of town and you will find that they carry a lot of flavored soda's.
I am white and I like root beer.

And why do Chinese people love Root Beer?
Honestly buddy, think about what your saying here. Minorities have been arguing for years that they are in every way equal, which they are, seeing as we're all humans. So why would one human like orange soda more than another. Just cause.
Believe me, skin color has no influence on what type of soft drink you like.

As much as I'd like to answer Paul Mooney style, I personally drink orange soda very rarely. I prefer Coke.

Why do people immediately shout "racist" when it's a simple observation. Yes, it is true that minorities drink more sugary drinks.
"Socioeconomic factors, such as mother's education and age and family income level, played a role in the consumption of sugary drinks. For example, children from families with insufficient income who regularly drank these beverages were more than three times more likely to be overweight at age 4 1/2 compared to kids who didn't drink these beverages and were from sufficient-income households"
No one can dispute the fact minorities (this includes black people) make significantly less money than anglos. There are reasons for everything.

First of all, it is not "racist" because all people are of the same human race.
I also OBSERVE, and have noticed this most of my life (starting when I was 16 working at McDonald's). I see what people buy in the supermarket and Blacks do buy orange soda and grape sida a lot. They also buy chicken. I assume this is because these items are cheaper and Blacks tend to be poorer.
"Blacks" is a cultural group just as Rednecks, hillbillies, mexicans, Yuppies, fat people (almost everyone in the supermarket is obese now).etc.
Living in denial is no help at all.
