i used this program for the first time to make a slideshow. it crashed on me a few times which really never happens except a few times playing sims 2. so my question is if these movie making programs are pretty much system hogs or just Windows Moviemaker. Thanks so much.
My computer is very secure and I run AV and Antispyware programs regularly. and use Firefox. runs dandy except for making that movie. Thanks.

yes movie maker is a hog, but it is a useful hog. Shut down everything that is not needed in startup, you should have no problems with movie maker. Make sure you do alot of interim "saves". Sims2, esp the pets exp pack is known to crash often

If it still crashed, try checking some programs that runs on your computer background (such as multiple anti-virus), if possible try closing it. If it still crashed try checking your hard drive of physical errors such as bad clusters, you could fix this by doing a scan-disk if this doesn't work try repairing your windows by inserting your windows installer disk, choose repair or update (this will ensure you that all windows component and programs will be replaced by a fresh clean copy) don't worry your save files will remain intact..

Yes they do hog the system and are very resource intensive - make sure you save the project often, it then saves you rebuilding the whole thing

WMM is notorious for crashing constantly. Don't worry, it's just WMM that is faulty, not your computer.

no not really if ur machine is pretty powerful it can handle wmm no problem ... its just buggy ... but its free ... save often as u work ...
