Job (pronounced with a long 'o', as in "Joe". And, God didn't test him, Satan tested him.
The enitre account of Job is found in the Bible under the book named "Job", which can be found near the middle of the Bible.
It's important to realize that it was not God that tested Job. The Bible says that God does not test anyone (James 1:13). Job 2:7 shows that it was actually Satan that did those things to Job. God allowed Job to suffer this because Satan claimed that Job would turn away from God if he were tested (Job 1:9-12). Satan is the Tempter, not God (Matthew 4:1-11). After Job was tested by Satan and proved faithful to God, he was blessed many times over (Job 42:12; James 5:11)

That would be Job. There's a whole book in the Bible about it called, remarkably enough, The Book of Job.

Here's how the story ends.
Job 42:10 And the LORD restored the fortunes of Job, when he had prayed for his friends. And the LORD gave Job twice as much as he had before. 11 Then came to him all his brothers and sisters and all who had known him before, and ate bread with him in his house. And they showed him sympathy and comforted him for all the evil that the LORD had brought upon him. And each of them gave him a piece of money and a ring of gold. 12 And the LORD blessed the latter days of Job more than his beginning. And he had 14,000 sheep, 6,000 camels, 1,000 yoke of oxen, and 1,000 female donkeys. 13 He had also seven sons and three daughters. 14 And he called the name of the first daughter Jemimah, and the name of the second Keziah, and the name of the third Keren-happuch. 15 And in all the land there were no women so beautiful as Job's daughters. And their father gave them an inheritance among their brothers. 16 And after this Job lived 140 years, and saw his sons, and his sons' sons, four generations. 17 And Job died, an old man, and full of days.
Job had the same number of children but he got to meet up with the first 10 when he went to Heaven.

Job,
but dont forget the happy ending, he was blessed 7 fold for obeying God.
Even his wife, was willing to sell out.
He was blessed with more kids, house, livestock than he had before.
He was allowed to be tested by God, but satan had to get permission, and was not allowed to take his life.
And Job was at that time, a very devote man of God.
Satan hated that one..made his job harder.
The closer your with God, the more your attacked.
Read the book in the OT, its amazing story.
The moral of the story, is keep the faith, not every cloud is a rain cloud, and even a rain cloud has to stop sometime.

God doesn't take away, but many times restores that which was lost due to satan, which is what happened to Job. God removed His hand of protection from Job when Job was allowed to be tested by satan. Satan does nothing to God's own without God's permission which is why being a christian is SOOO great!! We may still be tested, but we know that anything that happens to us is for our good OR His glory. In Job's case it was for God's glory. God then restored that which satan was allowed to rob, steal and destroy (the 3 things that satan does) and Job received a greater blessing than he had before. "If God be for me, who can be against me?" Job is my favorite bible story. He was a man of strong faith who trusted God's love enough, never to blame God. God bless

Read the Bible God took nothing from Job.God removed His hand of protection from Job.
Satan is the killer of Job's children and the destroyer of Job's
land and riches.
Job loved God with his whole heart,God rewarded Job.
People are living in a real world with real problems.
They curse God when things go wrong and forget to praise God when the blessings come.
God never tempts any one.
Man is tempted by his own lust.<><

It's Job. But you will have to read that story more closely. Job began to walk in fear and did not trust God. His lack of trust allowed the troubles to come into his life, not God. The devil saw that Job lived in fear and was in his flesh. If your read even further, Job mentioned that God warned him in dreams. So, what I am saying is that Job brought it on himself, not God. God sits as judge and is righteous in all his judgements. So, if Job believed all these bad things were going to come on him, God allowed it to come to pass according to Job's belief.
