IN MY OWN PERSONAL OPINION:
Some people just like to take things to extremes. When calling on a spirit for advice, you could get an evil spirit pretending to be the spirit of a loved one, for example.

But it is clearly written in the Bible around Gen: 25:17 that King Saul through an oracle summoned the spirit of Samuel to find what the outcome of a battle would be. Samuel ask why his rest had been disturbed. I believe he told King Saul he would win the battle but his sons would die for his desecration of the dead. Indeed, the next day, King Saul got word that his two sons were killed in battle and Saul wedged his sword between two rocks and threw himself upon it.

You do not know what the outcome of contacting a spirit may be. So please be careful if doing so.

As far as the show Medium is concerned: it is exactly that, a TV SHOW meant to entertain. Some Christians feel it is their duty to crusade and tell the world that shows like Medium, Smurfs and Tele-Tubies are demonic in nature. I guess they are afraid if they watch them they will become possessed.

I am a Christian and like watching these shows also. Evil begins in the heart and can spread like wildfire if not kept in check. Evil is all around us and contacts us daily in some way or other. It is what you take into yourself and hold on to, and make a part of your being that corrupts.

We're told not to follow false prophets. In the TV SHOW!! (let us remember this IS a "show"), Allison's "prophecy" is usually correct. She has to do a little interpretation, and she is a Christian in the show. Looking at it as if it were a "true story", I am impressed with how well she and her husband (and children, who are born with the same "infliction") handle their daily lives.

As for those who view the show as demonic... is this something you have read somewhere or an opinion you formed after having watched the show (more than once)? And, come-on people! There has been a show where it shows she has a pea sized "thingy" in her brain and so does at least one of her daughters. If it is there, perhaps God PUT it there, as she seems to be one of his instruments in helping people in both the spiritual world as well as the world we All can see around us. (When we open our eyes, that is.)

i think of inner maximum messages would be very helpful for those individuals who're right here for the proper motives. in my opinion, I err on the area of warning so i may well be helpful i'm no longer reporting without reason. I purely checklist blatant violations, alongside with underage (below 13--they at the instant are not allowed to ask or answer in the 1st place) consumers asking sexual questions, racism, bigotry, or the different form of hatred. i do no longer difficulty reporting minor infractions, alongside with chatting. i do no longer think of it will remember slightly to the trolls who checklist purely because of the fact they are able to. even while their debts get suspended for falsely reporting, they only open yet another account and get returned to employer. i think of the final thank you to stop this is to no longer enable reporting till point 3. It takes a at the same time as to get to that time, so as that could ward off trolls who open new debts on a daily basis.

It depends on who gives you your power and who is coming to collect your soul...

Alison may be able to do good things with her ability, that's great... As I am unaware of her being a Christian I have to go with it being demonic, the devil can do things that look good but they always come at a price...

God also gives visions and prophetic ability however we know those come from God, we can test them, and they meet God's criteria outlined in the Bible.

The devil tries to copy everything that the Lord does including prophecy. That's what mediums are: a fake copy cat that is demonic. The devil never led anyone to sin with something that stunk and was ugly and not appetizing to. He sugar coats sin.

Consider this passage from the Bible.

Acts 16:16 As we were going to the place of prayer, we were met by a slave girl who had a spirit of divination and brought her owners much gain by fortune-telling. 17 She followed Paul and us, crying out, "These men are servants of the Most High God, who proclaim to you the way of salvation." 18 And this she kept doing for many days. Paul, having become greatly annoyed, turned and said to the spirit, "I command you in the name of Jesus Christ to come out of her." And it came out that very hour.

It would seem like this girl was helping the Apostle but she had a spirit unholy in her that came out when Paul commanded it to in Jesus' name.

the dreams and visions they had came from God. you dont want to call them demonic then you ask them if they serve God, if they read their bible, if they pray to God, and if they worship and praise God. i guarantee none of them will say yes to even one of the above.

if you're speaking with the dead, that's demonic. it's not really the dead you're speaking to. it's demons posing as ghosts.
