Because the common denominator is they're all man made and written by man.

Why is it assumed that God could only speak once to one group of people? (that seems most unfair to people who cannot read his "word" or live in a remote area where they cannot learn the truth as preached by a particular religion!)

I would have to say that sacred texts (authentic ones) are similar because they come from the same source - God - and are pointing us toward understanding God.

A final (kind of random) comment - the Bible is NOT a science text-book!

interesting, because would not that make the other texts just as valuable as the bible?

the bible is not the "literal" word of God - and it never claims to be.

That is a weak arguement and Im a Christian. If you use this arguement do you realize that you validate every sacred text as touched by God? The Bible stands alone as the only book ever written that was directly inspired by God.

That's why the Bible can't base our laws, it was written by man, not the literal word of a being who may not exist.

It is not the literal word of God. God has no word. he is a spirit or whatever image helps. Man wrote it, dont mistake that.

Simple. Because most texts just copy others and change the words around and give it their own take and twist on it.

The Holy Bible IS the literal Word of God... Satan was around when it was comprised, see? He put out a few of His own.
