Catholics do not worship the Blessed Virgin Mary.
+ Saints +
Catholics share the belief in the Communion of Saints with many other Christians, including the Eastern Orthodox, Anglican, Episcopal, and Methodist Churches.
The Communion of Saints is the belief where all saints are intimately related in the Body of Christ, a family. When you die and go to heaven, you do not leave this family.
Everyone in heaven or on their way to heaven are saints. You, me, my deceased grandmother, Mary the mother of Jesus, and Mother Teresa.
As part of this family, you may ask your family and friends here on earth to pray for you. Or you may also ask the Blessed Virgin Mary, Saint Andrew, or your deceased grandmother in heaven to pray for you.
Prayer to saints is communication, not worship.
+ The Blessed Virgin Mary +
"Hail, full of grace, the Lord is with you" (Luke 1:28)
"Blessed are you among women,
and blessed is the fruit of your womb" (Luke 1:42).
In Luke 1:48, Mary prophesied: "From henceforth all generations shall call me blessed."
A question for Christians who take the Bible literally: Do you call Mary "blessed"? If no, why?
The Hail Mary prayer simply recites Bible passages (the Word of God) and asks Mary to pray for us:
Hail Mary Full of grace, the Lord is with you. (These are the words the angel Gabriel said to Mary, a Bible quote.)
Blessed are thou among women and blessed is the fruit of your womb, Jesus. (This is Mary's cousin Elizabeth's greeting, another bible quote.)
Holy Mary, (The angel Gabriel said she was full of grace and Elizabeth said she was blessed.)
Mother of God, (the Bible says Mary is the mother of Jesus Christ, God the Son)
Pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death. (A simple request to pray for us.)
Amen.
+ With love in Christ.

It makes the catholic system a heritical system. There are many catholics who trust in Jesus. However, if you think Mary or the dead saints should be prayed to, that is a lie.
By the way, a statue is an idol. Look up the definition. The catholic church was founded by pagans and at no time did they ever worship Jesus. They worship the queen of heaven, Mary.
The Bible states that Jesus says, " I Am the Way, the Truth, and the Life. NOONE comes to the Father but by ME!" emphasis added. No where in the Bible does it tell us we must go to Mary to take our prayers to Jesus.
The catholic system is pagan in origin, in fact the catholic mass is derived from pagan rituals. Catholics need to stop acting like their religious beliefs are based on the Bible when in fact 80% of the church teachings are lies and heresies.
I love the catholic people, but unless you accept Jesus as you ONLY Lord ans Savior you will go to hell.

"Do you not know tht the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of god? Do not be deceived. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor........will inherit the kindom of God." 1 Corinthians 6:9-10
""You shall not make for yourself a carved image - any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth,......For I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children to the 3 & 4 generations of those who hate Me," Exodus 20:4 - 5
These are quotes from the Bible. This is what God said! If the anyone (Catholics) translate that in a different way, they will be judged by God when the time comes.

It is upsetting that some so-called Christian denominations spend a lot of time trying to throw stones at denominations that are different from their own very narrowly defined denomination. They believe stuff that was made up by some kind of preacher with some weird and narrow interpretation of the Bible. Just as an example: How about Jehovah's Witnesses who let people and babies die rather than give a needed blood transfusion. Some "guy" made up that wierd rule. Many denominations also have some kind of "rule" that was made up by some "guy" and the people do not question where the rigid rule came from. I say: Read the Bible for yourself--and make up your own mind as to what it says. Do not follow a narrow, rigid interpretation that some "guy" made up.Be a Man/Woman--not a slave to some demogogue.

We have explained this doctrine many many times. As a matter of fact, we have listened to all your objections about our beliefs and have answered them repeatedly. Why can't you just accept our explanation? Why bring it up again and again? We don't question your beliefs so why can't you respect ours? If you are so sure about your own beliefs why even bother? Are you hoping we might change our minds? It won't happen. Are you worried we will go to hell? We won't! Jesus Christ promised to guide this Church till the end of the age. If our beliefs are wrong, Jesus would have corrected us a long time ago, as he has done from time to time. You are the ones who should be worried because you do not belong to the Church founded by Jesus Christ. In point of fact, you are the ones who should be worried because the Bible and Church Fathers say there is no salvation outside this Church.
May the Lord's peace be with you!

You must be new to the board. This question has been beaten to death. If you don't understand by now that Catholics don't worship Mary, I don't know what kind of help you can receive, but it's been clearly stated countless times.
Maybe you can clarify why you don't understand and it will help us provide a better answer.
Or maybe you're more interested in lying, but why would a Christian feel the need to do that towards a brother/sister in Christ? I do not understand that!
God bless!

We do not "recard" the Virgin Mary as anything.
We don't "worship" Her either. We do not have idols in our churches. And the Virgin Mary is the Mother of Jesus.
Whether or not we're going to hell, let us worry about it.
If you seriously want an answer to your questions, come with me to my bible study group.

Only God/Jesus judges each of us. Catholics (I was raised Catholic and no longer follow religion, but have a relationship with Jesus=christian) pray to Jesus and Mary, but do not regard Mary higher. We are to ONLY pray to God thru Jesus. Therefore, I believe since the Word of God says this in the first commandment, that to pray to Mary or any other than God/Jesus, that this is against the 1st commandment. Breaking the commandments = sin, but does not condemn us to hell, since Jesus conquered death for us as long as we accept His atonement for us. Catholics believe in Jesus, Salvation and are christian. Christians are not perfect, just forgiven. God bless
