I do not believe in organized religion, it is the traditions of man and not of God.

I DO THE WILL OF GOD

I found a church home, I am obedient, I follow his word, I am baptized with the holy spirit, I show myself approved and do the will of God (Mark 16: 15 - 18)

This is my personal opinion.

Yes history and culture influnce the ways people practice in their religion.

The important thing is for the educated followers to educate their society and explain to them which is the correct teaching of their religion.

Example of one negative "culture" that was mistakenly thought as the teaching of Islam by certain Islamic community in Pakistan is "Honour Killing" (some human right activists say that actually "Pride Killing" is more appropriate to name this act or culture).

Some women in Pakistan are being killed by their relatives just based on accusation (without solid evidence or proof) that they have committed immoral things. Certain communities in Pakistan said this is what Islam teaches them. But actually that was based from their own culture and not from the true teaching of Islam. You can go and see the Muslims community in China, Malaysia and Brunei, for example. They don't have this culture of "Honor Killing". The actual teaching of Islam says that you cannot take the law in your own hand and someone cannot be punished without sufficient evidence / proof.

If anyone (Muslims or Non-Muslims) is being accused of commiting an offense, he/she should be brought to the court of law (that is established by the government) and be given the opportunity to defend himself/herself. This is what is taught in Islam.

That is all in the beliefs that are taught to you from birth.. It influences you to be a generally good person and go to church in the Baptist faith.
