Well, "B", because by definition, God is ethical.

Now, maybe if you don't believe in God, and your moral framework is all wishy-washy, you might think keeping people from suffering forever is moral.

But that's the kind of ethical depravity that atheism leads to.

A would be the better road to go. I don't know if this was ever stated in the bible, but what I was always taught before I dropped religiosity was that God knows exactly what is going to happen with every one of his creations. so, why is he going to punish us if he knew that
a) he created monster capable of swaying everybody to the dark side
b)he created a bunch of people that he knew would end up following the thing from option a).
It's not very ethical to punish people for your mistake, is it?

A.) God will smite Satan in the future.

B.) God does not burn anyone. Free choice shows that they reject God, thus choosing to burn themselves. It's amazing how one can blame God for their actions.

You didn't consider option C) All of the above, which He's going to do. He said so twice. Satan will be cast into the lake of fire, and so will all who turned away from God. It's the only just thing He can do, and justice is as much a part of His nature as love and forgiveness.
