When my son was little, I didn't want him to be afraid of storms, so everytime one would come along, we would open a window and sit beside it to listen and watch the rain, thunder and lightening. I would always tell him the storm was our friend, how it helped the grass and trees grown, etc.
I suppose it worked as he is now a teenager and not afraid of storms. I still sit out on my porch and watch them rolling in, the whole thing is fascinating to me.

I love the scent of the rain, and the way the trees turn up their leaves in anticipation for the rain. I also like the overcast. Those are my favorite things about thunderstorms.
My least favorite things about thunderstorms are lightening and the possibility of tornadoes & damaging winds.

I love the sound of the rain, plus really deep thunder. I definitely don't like it whenever the power goes out, but overall I love thunderstorms.

I love being inside during a thunderstorm watching it out the windows and listening to the thunder, snuggled under a blanket with my boyfriend napping and cuddling.

My favorite would be the the sound of the rain. My least favorite thing would be the power going out.

Going to sleep to it, it's relaxing, and beautiful! But since my boyfriend is a storm spotter for the National Weather Service and also a severe weather photographer, I usually go out in the storm with him as he's taking photos, so I don't go to sleep in them much anymore. Sometimes I use his other camera to try to get some shots too:-) I'm not a pro though!

In Australia, it's the rain that comes with the storm. We need rain here badly! So when those big black clouds build up on the horizon, everyone hopes for rain. Have a great day.

The last big one struck my Jersey house and did lots of frickin damage. Over $3000. No interest in them.

It's thundering now where i live i like the sound of the thunder very relaxing and the rain together very soothing and relaxing
