hey, cutting isn't something you want to get caught up in. I've tried cutting and overdosing and I have had friends kill themselves, and I know from experience that it isn't the way to go about things. It might make you feel better for a little while, but it won't help. It just makes things worse. Look at it this way, now you have to cover up your marks and try to hide it and you could possible kill yourself. You should find someone you can vent to. I'm here and will listen greenywoods42002@yahoo.com I would be happy to talk to you. You need to snap out of this somehow. It could be finding someone to talk to or just doing something you like to do. Its different with everyone. I hope you find a way to snap out of this though, cuz this is some pretty serious stuff. Like, I said I'm here and will listen to you. I know what you are going through. And I want you to know that cutting yourself isn't worth it and will make things worse.

I don't know if I know how you feel from such a small amount of information and the cold separation of computers and satelites but I feel compelled to answer your question and hope that it helps.
I'm a 37yo bipolar and on medication for 4 years now. I have sat and slashed my leg with very neat cuts fourteen times in a row with a piece of glass found in the gutter. I've tied a rope around my ankle and other end around high branch of tree then jumped out to hang upside down...don't know why really.
I believe this self-destructive behaviour is an escape from thoughts and feelings we don't want, or can't deal with. The same as alcoholism, drug addiction, obesity, etc.
If you have a doctor you can trust you must see them and be honest as soon as you can, because the sooner you "catch" this problem the easier and the quicker you will get better.
I could have had medical help 10 years ago which would have been before the end of my marriage and estrangement from my 14yo daughter. Much less the pain and stress my husband and both daughters and I went through. Don't put this off, try to start fixing it now. Below is a very good sight for young adults.

Also Google "self harm" and the sites listed relate to your feelings because they're org's who help treat cases like yours everyday.
God bless.

Talk to a school counselor, religious leader or some other responsible adult who can get you help. You may need to tell your parents so that they can take you to see a psychologist in order for you to stop...best it would be to tell your parents even though that you don't get along...they love you and would want you to let them know if something like that was going on. Good luck.

What about talking to your school counselor and telling her why you dont want to have your parents know about this and that you dont want to do this any more but you dont know how to stop. tell her whats going on in your life and that you need help maybe she or he can help you out with this. it is the best thing to stop when you are young because its easier to fix your behaviors. I have started about 10 years ago and well I know how hard it can be. Ill be thinking of you.
