With growing regularity I find myself smoking a cigarette in my dreams. I don't smoke, nor have I ever smoked. I do however live with someone who does and at first I thought maybe I'm jonesing for tobacco in my sleep as a result of some weird second-hand smoke symptom, but I doubt that's it. In my most recent dream I was just looking at myself in the bathroom mirror, checking how I looked from all angles, trying to look cool I guess, haha. But what does it mean?

when I first read this the first thing that came to mind is your curious about smoking, thinking if it would be a good look on you, etc. plus your exposed to the image of someone else smoking so I'm guessing when you sleep things are linked together and that's why. just a guess hope it helps.

It seems your having identity issues which are being interpreted though your dreams as smoking and mirrors. Smoking or smoke normally translates in reality to looking to hiding certain feelings for someone or something (In your particular case I would guess you are concealing feelings about yourself). Mirrors on the other hand most of the time stands for reflection, identity, or a true picture of something else.

Smoking cigarettes is generally some thing bad coming out the mouth that hurts people. You are giving wrong views on people, or talking unfairly in their back, or bearing false witnesses.

But you are so lucky to see this, Your dream advice you to change.

It is second hand smoke. Ask the person you are living with to step outside to smoke. Nothing cool or sexy about cigarettes.
