Been there---done that----earnestly! -- The Bible is an amazing book and has some great moral teachings in it. I was a Christian and was taught or studied the Bible for 40 years! I was a pastors wife and taught children's church. I can't put into words the heartache and pain that being Christian has caused me over the years--wasted years. I am now at peace and have found a Faith and worship that is so right for me. I finally know who I am and what Spirituality and being close to God/Goddess really means!!

Everyone has the opportunity to study the bible ,we are not in a country, where it is forbidden.
And everyone of us shall give an account to God, of what we did with out lives , that He gave us.

Not a good idea for Christians. I was Christian and studied the Bible for 9 years of school. That's what turned me into an atheist, once I really knew what that book said I knew the whole religion was myths supported by lies.

I have studied the bible along with many writings about the bible. i have a degree in theology and pastoral counseling - so i had to study. when i did, i studied with great interest and intent.

the study was fine, but ultimatly i left christianity - it's a faith that has grown way beyond what, i believe, was intended. to me, modern day christianity is a lie.

certianly, proverb 4:20=22 said..my son, attend to my words..incline thy ear onto my saying..for they are life, health and wealth to them that find it. 3john 2 said..i pray that you be prosperous, and in good health as YOUR SOUL(mind) prospered...which fits..seek the kingdom of GOD(power over satan, sickeness.lack.fear.ect) and recieve the GIft of RIGHTEOUSNESS(spiritual authority) THEN
all these earthly things will be added onto YOU.
SO yes..i like to study the bible earnestly..so that i havelife, health and wealth. we reap what we sown..and a mind is a terrible thing to waste..yet..be not just a hearer of the word..but a DOER of the word..for GOD is PLEASE..when we walk by FAITH..talk by FAITH..vs walk in feaer, and complain..like them folks who died in the wilderness with moses.and these folks SAW the POWER OF GOD and thepower of GOD love for them..but they disobey/lack trusting GOD..to enter into the promised land of great WEALTH(palestine, syria, jordan, lebanon area)
