If you received medical treatment, the company you work for should have to pay for that. It's under Workman's Comp insurance and they are supposed to be covered by law. Ask the manager why the air has not been fixed. I would also tell them you can't come back to work until the air is fixed. They can't fire you for that because that's illegal. You can't work in intolerable conditions. You can contact a Labor Law attorney if you really need to. That's ridiculous!

Depends on the type of work you are doing . Can you open doors turn on fans ? Maybe wear a cold wet towle around neck drink gatorade. Or be a horses patut and call the labor board on them . Then you will get something done . Might not have a job but aleast you tried to do something about it . Keep your pressure points cool . wrist , face , neck arms , behind knees ect. Good Luck hope this helps you out and don't loose your job .

If the Manager insists on ignoring your pleas to fix the problem- you should quit your job & file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau & your State's Attorney General. It shouldn't have to kill you to get something done. Good luck.

If it is really hot in there to the point where it is truly dangerous, I would report the place to your local health department and perhaps the department of labor also.

You can maybe call OSHA that seems to be an unsafe worksite now. especially if it caused you to get sick.
Ocucupational Health and Safety Administration department of labor
