Don't tell her that I said this, but my aunt. When I was 3 years old, her 8 year old son was killed tragically by a family member. It changed the dynamics of our family. I ended up spending lots of my youth with her.
We learned to laugh and have fun not at the expense of others but at ourselves. Because of her, I often volunteered for a preschool for special education children. Another memory, we decided that we wanted to learn about Haley's Comet. She bought a very expensive telescope, and in the middle of January at 3am on a school night- we watched for Haley's Comet.
We started the annual popsicle parties for the neighbor kids; it is in its 23rd year now. There were so many things we did together. All of these experiences made me cognizant of life with a great reverence.
She taught me and shared with me the gift of compassion and charity. A real appreciation for family, community & Nature.

My great-great-grandmother, who was a psychic, a flirt, and a planter of Assemblies of God churches. She showed me that the Divine *and* pleasure *and* curiosity could coincide in a human life when others were working so hard to convince me otherwise.

i am not relgious at all... i believe in self-worth and self-health.... but surprisingly i got this inspiration from a christian friend who just had this zest for life, and had absolute belief... now im no christian, and i do not have the same beliefs but it inspired me to chase my own self-fulfillment and happiness.
now i take time for my inner spiritual health as she does with her faith....

Dr. Adrian Rodgers more than likely has influenced me more than any one else in my spriritual walk. He was one of the best Pastors/teachers ever, but more than that ..he taught me how much God loves me, you and all of us.

Mother Teresa, because no matter what people say about her, no one can ever deny her constant physical assistance to the poor and the needy.
she may have said things that others disagreed with but she did not waver and she acted upon her beliefs.
she also loved everyone and said that no matter what you believe, believe it with all your heart.
