Ok i am confused now. I am not a christian but i am interested
in going to heaven. I know that i need to be a christian if i
want to go to heaven. I also know that i will burn in hell if
i don't convert to a christian. Ok i know that christians are
annoying and all that and i will probably throw up seeing nothing but christian snobs preaching and thanking God
for everything in heaven. But hey, better than burining in hell with all the cool people. Whatever, so who should i put my ten
cents on? God or Virgin Marry? I mean if i choose the wrong
one that might be my *** going to hell. Statistically Catholics
outnumbers protestants and from what i have heard christians
like to boast on how reliable their religion can be based on
the high percentage of christians planted on earth. I am open
to any suggestion because i need to make a decision before
Jesus decides to descend down from heaven. Man, he might be standing behind me right now waiting for my decision.

The Bible is the only form of communication we have directly from God. We can either decide that we can interpret it which would mean man's power of reasoning is superior to God's unchanging word or we can choose to believe everything that it says. Through the years man has decided to add and or take things away from the Bible as they formed their various denominations. Nowhere in the Bible does it say to pray or lift up the Virgin Mary. The Catholic church Pope decided that this was o.k. The Bible does say there is only one mediator between man and God which is Jesus. (1Timothy 2:5) This means Jesus is the only one God has authorized us to pray to and ask us to pray for us on our behalf. God also says throughout the Bible not to pray to idols. An idol is any earthly thing that we give spiritual signifigance or believe has special powers. Praying to a cross or a statue or a picture would be praying to an idol. The Catholic church means well, they have not set these traditions to be malicious, but they are not backed up by the Bible and therefore have no heavenly foundation to stand on.

So why are there so many Catholics? My wife used to be a Catholic and she told me from the time she was a child she was made to feel guilty if she didn't do things right and was made to feel she needed to remain Catholic out of respect for her parents. I witnessed a huge argument with my mother-in-law when we decided not to be married in the Catholic church. According to her we would not be married because it wasn't a Catholic wedding. When we questioned more we found out my mother-in-law would not even visit another church out of respect for her parents and what they taught her to believe. The Bible tells us we must pick-up our own cross and follow Jesus, this means we cannot let anyone but ourselves dictate to us what we are to follow. The easiest way to make sure this happens is to follow the teachings of the Bible. Chrisitanity is a journey. God knows what is in your heart. You don't become a Christian and instantly know the Bible and become sinless. Its just like dating a new person. Every date, you learn a little more, and in time you begin to fall in love, and the longer you're in love, the stronger the love becomes. The journey with God grows in the same way.

Hope this helps. If you have more questions I would urge you to visit a Church of Christ and ask the preacher to answer your questions. They will be happy to do so, and give you a Bible proven answer for a Bible question.

Well, if you decide for Jesus, then love his mother, Virgin Mary. Jesus is God, Jesus is the second person in the Holy Trinity. God is the Father. Jesus is the Son, and The Holy Spirit the third person.

There are many many misconceptions about the relationship of catholics with God and the Virgin Mary. Some say that catholics "adore" and "worship" Virgin Mary. That is way away from truth. Catholics love Mary because of her willingness to obey God when she was told that she will have a baby, etc. She just obeyed God, and she is catholic's example to seek: her obedience and her trust in God.

You have to choose God because He is our father and our God. Virgin Mary is the mother of the son of God: Jesus, who is the second person of the Holy Trinity. She is just an intercessor before her Son, Jesus. She is not a goddess, she is just our example to follow on how to be better Christians.

You're ignoring all the other belief systems in the world, including those atheists who believe (making it a religious belief) that God Does Not Exist, vs. those atheists who see no reason to believe in God because there is no evidence for it.

The latter atheist I can respect, and they are usually respectful of the religious freedoms of Americans, being patriots.

Then there are those with the desperate needy desire to find a way to insult other religious beliefs to feel superior, the "believers in no god".

If they are right, you are utterly safe.

Myself, I don't belong to any religion. I've studied nearly all of them.

You want to go to heaven? Treat people as you would want to be treated yourself, what would help them most (not forgetting your own needs).

...then go join every church/synagogue/temple/etc. you can find, get dunked, sprayed, neutered, etc. and donate at least $5.00 to each.

I'm pretty sure that will do it.

My father just sends out checks each year.

You need a lot of guidance, but at least you have a yearning for the truth. Keep looking, find a bible based church and learn about JESUS. He is the savior. No offense to Mary, but she is not who can get you into heaven. She was chosen by God to give birth to the Messiah. He is worthy of all praise and Glory!! Pray and ask God to come into your heart and guide you on the right path. The devil is real and he will try to trick you. Always remember that Jesus is the only answer you need.

Trust in Jesus for salvation. The Virgin Mary would tell you the same thing. They would not be preaching in Heaven because there would be nothing to preach about. Everybody there would already know and we couldn't help giving glory to God. He is so deserving. I hope you make it.

First of all, the Bible does not promote a God who would be willing to burn his children in hell (see Jeremiah 7:31). Secondly, God does not want worshippers who are just following him to save their ***. And, third, God hears your thoughts and knows the feelings and intentions of your heart. And, he dearly loves you in spite of it all. He knows what will make you happy and fulfilled better than anyone else and he wants you to live forever. Wouldn't it be nice to just get to know him a little better? He wants you to open the door to him. He wrote you a letter called the Bible and if you want to understand it, he will give you holy spirit to help you understand and experienced followers to help show you the way. Won't you come and enjoy his truth?
