"their" truth is theirs alone? Why do some of you come in here
and preach "The Truth" when that statement in itself is an opinion and not fact?

Truth is different for different people. Truth is not absolute.

FACTS are absolute and the fact is we have no idea for sure if there is or isn't a god. But the whole idea of a god is so unlikely, I'm okay with believing there is no god.

I don't tell people it's the truth without explaining and elaborating on it. Blind faith in anything is foolish. Despite what some people think, Christians (ok, most Christians) aren't just mindless sheep who do what the someone tells them. I know that saying "cuz the Bible says so" doesn't fly with nonbelievers. I don't expect you to just accept what I say without some evidence to back it up.

What I want to do is show you why it says that, and why I believe what I do. I don't get these people who are Christians but think there are other paths or truths. They are ignoring one of the fundamental beliefs of Christianity, why would you even bother if you thought it wasn't the truth? Jesus is not a hobby or something you do to pass the time, he's either God or he isn't. Doesn't make sense to me.

I agree with Matt and Sandy w.most Christians have been deeply affected by our belief in the Lord, many years ago I was called home by the Red cross because my Dad was dying, after praying in the hospital chapel I some how knew that my Dad was going to be OK even though the doc said he only had a few days to live as he smoked all his life and his lungs were shot.He proved them all wrong and the Lord gave us ten more years with him. That my friends was a miracle of the Lord and I am glad to call myself a Christian.I'm sure there are thousands of story's out there about the Lord doing miracles in people's life's.You non-believers should try the prayer thing some time it really work's.

You're certainly not going to like what I have to say... Truth is truth, whether you accept it or not. The sky is blue whether you call it blue or not , you can call it red all you want. Won't change the fact that it's blue. Thats how truth works. The truth is that the day is coming that every knee will bow and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord. God bless!!

The simplicity of God somehow escapes man.
Knowledge puffs up..
The Spirit gives life

I can probably speak for a few of my brothers and sisters when I say that I speak of the Lord and of Him as the way truth and life NOT to try to preach to anyone on here.. but more in the line of fellowship and the sharing of our experience of the Lord. This forum allows that and some wonderful connections between believers in Christ have taken place here on YA.
If you are angry at God and choose to not believe what is in the Bible then that is your choice of which you will have to give God an account for. Even as believers we will stand before the judgement seat of Christ to have our works tried by Him.

As a Christian you believe that there is only one truth and that it is not an opinion. To belive anything but that, you would not be a Christian. So the people who write as Christians on this site are doing what they feel deep in their heart is the right thing. Christians are on a constant path of discovery and learning, so an opinion stated today comes from where that person is in their spiritual journey. Spiritual growth comes through prayer and thoughtful discussion which is what these people are trying to do.

Joh 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, and the truth, and the life: no one cometh unto the Father, but by me.

This Truth is not mine, theirs, yours, or his. It is Absolute, Infinite, and Unchangeable. It is not subject to opinion or debate.

It is a FACT that if you do not repent from your sins, you are going to Hell.

Personally, I agree with you. Us Christians can be pushy, but you have to admit, Atheists can be the same way (if not worse). In my experiences, Atheists seem to think that exposure is the same thing as force. Just because I wear a crucifix sometimes doesn't mean I want you to. Hell, wear a pentagram or a swastika if you want, I won't give a damn.
