No, they are not. Actually, the Australians carried the oil in their kits when they went to fight.
Tea tree oil is a natural antiseptic. It would definitely help complexion problems. [ Although, as everything else, some people might be allergic to it. ]
My family has used the oil and the ointment for 12 years, and we really like it!
P.S. Do not use it on pets - they will lick it off, and you are not supposed to ingest it, at least in that form.

i used to have really bad sweat pimples on my arms so i would use dilited tea tree oil on cotton balls each day and they cleared up great...

i would also use it as a spot treatment in the morning as as a toner at night before bed...

if you are using it for your face then i suggest that you dilute it...i would maybe use 1 part tea tree to 6 parts water...

tea tree oil is an antiseptic. it is used for cuts and healing. if you apply it to your skin, especially your face, use it sparingly as it will dry out your skin.

No, they aren't. In fact, they are included in many acne treatments, and have deep cleansing and antibacterial properties.
