What do you do when you listen to someone while standing? What are your hands doing?

that depends on if you like what they are saying. if you dont like what they are saying, your hands are on your hips. if you are fascinated with what they are saying, your hands are on your chin. i think if i like what im hearing, my hands are EVERYWHERE. like the topnotch on a birds head, my hands are constantly moving. where my hands are is probably a dead give away....

Usually in my pockets, searching for something in there to handle. Like a coin to rub fingers against, etc. Or even a bit of lint out of the pocket corner.
Gotta keep my hands busy.

If I'm nervous because I dont know the person well, I might make big inviteing hand gestures.But if it's with a friend...I still will use my hands to exadurate what I'm talking about.

I usually cross my arms, unless I am bored by the person. Then I end up playing with things like my shirt or pants or a pen or whatever I happen to have at the time.

You look at them while they're talking, you nod, you make sounds that show you're listening *uh-huh*, and your hands should be.... at your side/in your pockets, or wherever, but not fidgeting.

I usually fold my hands (like they would be if you were sitting and had them resting in your lap) and rest them on my stomach....
