Yeah, out of every method I've used, toothpaste works the best.
All you do is cover your pimples with toothpaste (make sure it's paste and not gel) and leave it on over night.
Then, in the morning when you wake up, wash it off.
It works really well.
Not only does it noticably shrink pimples, it also gets red of a lot of redness.
Umm, I used Colgate, because that's what I had, but I'm sure that any brand would work.
Beware, if you use toothpaste by your eyes it will make your eyes water, but it doesn't hurt, don't worry.
Make sure you wash your face with face wash morning and night.
Also, sunlight.
It's the cheapest and easiest way.
Spend your summer outside, and when school starts up again, you'll have a clear face.
♥ xoxo

Any brand should work. Just put a small dab on your pimples before you go to bed. Be sure to wash your face first, of course. Don't use a lot of toothpaste, just enough to cover the pimple. Let it dry before you go to sleep or you'll probably have it all over yourself and your bed when you wake up.
When you get up in the morning just wash it off. It works because the toothpaste tends to help dry out your skin where the pimples are and that, in turn, keeps the pimples from getting worse and should help clear them up. It's not a miracle cure but it should help a little at the least.
I have no idea how long you should keep it up. I assume until you're happy with the results or it doesn't seem to be helping any longer. After that just do it whenever you feel you need to.
Good luck!

Take the toothpaste OFF! toothpaste can also make your face red from irritation and not affect the pimple at all. The most effective treatment for pimples is tea tree oil. Put a couple drops on a q-tip and dab onto the pimple. If the pimple is open, it will sting a little, but I'm sure you'll see an improvement overnight.

I'm not a fan of using toothpaste on pimples. Most toothpastes have mint which irritates my skin.
Here are some alternative remedies:
You can crush up 6 plain, uncoated aspirin tablets and mix it w/ a little water to make mask. Leave it on for 15-20 minutes & rinse off w/ cool water.
Mix half a teaspoon of crushed uncoated aspirin tablets with Queen Helene Mint Julep mask or aloe vera gel to use as a mask. Leave it on for 15-20 minutes & rinse off w/ cool water.
Milk of Magnesia - apply in thin layer where needed & allow to dry 5-10 mins. Will absorb oil & tighten pores. Can be used as a spot treatment too.
Soothing Yogurt Mask
1/3 cup plain whole milk yogurt (loosens old skin cells)
1-2 tsp. honey (anti-bacterial, moisturizes)
2 tblsp. oatmeal (scrubbing action)
Mix ingredients & apply to face. Leave on for 15 minutes. Rinse off w/ cool water.
Facials help too. Here's how to DIY: http://www.ehow.com/how_2564_give-yourself-facial.html
Beauty w/o Cruelty clay mask & Origins Charcoal clay mask are good ones. The plain Milk of Magnesia mask is also good to use during a facial.

Although some swear it works, toothpaste really doesn't make a difference. Try a brand called Zap-Zit. You can get it at CVS pharmacies, Walgreen's, etc. Unlike other acne creams, it contains a strong dose (10%) of benzyne acid. Most other brands contain about 2%.

you just put it on the pimple! its very simple, so theres really no chance of messing it up. just make sure you use the paste and NOT gel. try putting it on the pimple at night after you wash your face and leave it on while you are sleeping. by the morning, it will have dried out the pimple and should be somewhat smaller. even if it doesnt seem to shrink, keep in mind that it will at least be dried out, so chances are it will not be on your face as long as it would have been!

Actually you arent supposed to put toothpaste on cause it'll clog up your skin, and probably make it worst. Just wash your face with some acne wash, try to use a soft cloth instead of your hands, and go to sleep. Don't even touch your face, don't poke them, and make sure you have clean pillow cases.

tothpaste isnt good, it just dries out the pimple it doesnt help it or prevent from future pimples it just really dries it out, remember to wash your face morning and night and also right after you work out or have a sport practice/game to get rid of oil and dirt wich causes the pimples, also ask ur doctor for what you should use for ur specific facial needs!
