First impressions are crucial and you only get one chance to make a "good" first impression. He now knows or at least has an idea of how you are and most likely lost your chance. Try to play it cool next time. If you have a friend that is acting like an idiot, you will always lose their interest immediately.

Guys have their own stuff to deal with. Periods do suck- I'm not denying that. But, I'll take cramps over a public *****. Dudes are apparently always sneaking around trying to shift things around so it's not obvious. Teen guys have so much testosterone in their systems that they can just be doing homework and all of a sudden, it's like, "Hello down there, what are you doing?" (That has happened to guys I know). Also, if a dude has a ***** in class, everyone laughs at him. If a girl has a leak on her period, the girls sympathize and the boys are terrified. Also, girls get a positive idea of what it means to be a woman. There are way more support groups for girls than for guys. Boys grow up without fathers, with negative portrayals of guys and fathers in a lot of media (fathers are always incompetent compared to the mothers, or just want sex, etc) and no guidance in how to really become a man. I'm lucky enough to be with a guy who is what I'd call a gentleman of the old school. We're equal, but we're also different. We complement each other's differences. However, most guys aren't so lucky and don't get the strong male community that they need. Also, they get drafted. In Israel, girls get drafted too, but for a year less than boys do. Boys have their own problems. All things considered, I'd rather be a girl. (Also, when it's cold, we can steal their jackets. And when we're snuggling watching a movie or playing video games, girls get to steal the blanket. And boys buy us stuff. And they usually make the first move romantically. And...you get my point. Girls have it better.)

just have to be cool about it right now since you feel he might think your a fool

so just go to the pool and hang out and dont engage with him yet , just be there and glance at him and let him see you looking , dont giggle or goof around.........be cool

next time he's there do the same but before he leaves just go over and introduce yourself , maybe ask him how long he's been cleaning pools..etc......just make small talk and then say ......well ok maybe i'll see you around

then next time you see him approach him and say hi and ask if he'd like to get some dinner/lunch sometime ....then if he says sure get his number

The "Pool Boy" stereotype is well earned - he knows that he is hot, and that women will practically throw themselves at his feet.

There is little point in trying to strike up a SERIOUS conversation - as that is the LAST thing he is looking for. If he was actually willing to talk, you would quickly find out that he is all about himself - and his many "conquests"...

Consider this fair warning - as I said above, most stereotypes DO exist for a reason ;);):)

OK, first of all with your screen name being Hannah Montana, you sound extremely young. You said he was older and if he has an actual job at the pool, just how much older is he?

***Well I see you changed your name.

I think this boy is too old for you. If he was interested, then he would approach you.

just sit at the pool, wait for him to come around. If you want you can try to have your friend push you into the pool, DONT have him resuce you just when you get out of the pool just tell your frds thanks a lot and try to find a towel ( which you didn't bring one) and maybe he'll have one or he'll come over to you and talk to you. Just don't act dumb and act like you cant swim just act cool

He probably has not punched any swimmers this year, just go say hello and start talking.
