Make sure the adress is one hundred % correct. Especially all the battalion and company letters in the address ex.
C co 2/47 even if you put a dash instead of a slash, it could possibly winde up in another unit. Also you have to their mail room gets alot of mail, which will make it slow and easy to misplace a few letters. Just comfirm the address and keep on sending them, mark it with a return address also. If you want to speed things up a bit you can mail it priority mail for a couple of bucks so it won't take so long. It took me 2 and a half or three weeks before I started recieving any mail and I too was worried, then it finally all came rolling in.
Keep writing though, cause I gaurentee thats the favorite part of his day, getting your letters.

He'll get them. The mail service to the platoon itself depends on the DI's getting to the Company office and picking up the mail... then giving it to the recruits. Sometimes there are delays.

Check out http://www.marineparents.com

It's the best resource for loved ones of recruits in USMC boot camp. You'll get answers to all your questions.. and you'll meet other girlfriends and parents of recruits in his company and platoon... it's an awesome support system.. and you'll learn SO much about the Corps by the time he's done with boot!

Hang in there... the first month is the toughest... just keep writing him.. every day!!

Ask if his address has been changed , get his apo and keep writing. I write troops and get this alot from time to time when they relocate it takes a while longer and know the cut off date for mail.

it counts what week he is in ,they usually get their mail 3weeks in or so.also it counts on what he choose to do in the MARINES, in some areas they do not get mail til training is done...recheck the address you are putting on the letter, also make sure there is not another person with the same name in his training company when he calls ask him those questions

Are you 100% sure they are addressed right? Have your return address?

If so you can call his unit and the clerk can verify you have addressed them correct.

I doubt there is a plot.

Mail in bootcamp is not reliable. It will improve once he is in a regular unit.
