Well it depends on the type of depression.... personally, if it's siuational, caused by one thing in particular..... then journalling or going for a walk, something to relax and just let your mind wander...is what helps me

if it's pure depression, seemingly not caused by anything, then you have to do your best to talk yourself out of your hole and motivate yourself to talk to someone, and just get out of the house. even if it's just to go buy milk or something, getting energized by showering and dressing and going out will help you feel better

Call a friend if you can and go out somewhere. If this is not possible go to the mall and walk around and watch the people, sit on a bench and people watch. Just get out of the house and do something. Take a walk and enjoy nature. Think of things that you have to be thankful for, and set goals for yourself, small ones at first and work from there. Good luck and take care of your physical health as well as your mental health.

A lot depends on the 'situation.' I found a long time ago (not to get religious on you) but whatsoever is of good report, is kind, true, filled with love, think on these things. Remember that doing so will not make the probem go away. Best things it honestly deal with the 'situation' then let it go. Also remember that some one out there loves you more than you will ever know.

Sorry to hear this I had this to-day ( I was ask to be a contact on Yahoo answer but I think the person was to young) But as this might be one-way if every one you knew is not listening to you or going to different catagories here. Where I am at I have a socia lworker stop by an gives me some transportation to where ever!

The best quick fix is a brisk walk, like 20 minutes or so,it releases endorphins in your brain that make you feel better right off the bat.

go for a run, then come back and write a semi-fictional story of the person you want to be...then pick up your bible read the whole book of psalms, take a shower eat a big chocolate bon and bon and rent a comedy and laugh your heart up while drinking milk and eating oreos!
