When I was in preschool, we had a little wading pool just filled with bubble solution that we stood in (on bricks so it was less slippery) and they pulled a hula hoop up from the pool around each of us so that we were "inside" our own bubble.

I teach a day-camp for 3-5 year olds on fridays, and I want to put my kids inside their own bubbles. I have all the equipment, I just can't decide which commercial solution to buy or where to buy it (cheap), or if I should mix a custom recipe at home.

Does anyone have any experience with this?

well yes and the bubble idea totally wokr you just have to have the right amount of soap in it and stuff but anyways, mkae a recipe at home it is allways the best, i would just start with using more water then dish washing soap and see what happend, try a small sample and then make that recipe bigger hope i could help.

No, I'm afraid not. But it does sound like an interesting and fun idea. Check with some of the companies that make the bubble solution for bubble-blowing pipes. They might be able to whomp up a batch big enough for your project. I have no idea what it would cost, but maybe you could buy it wholesale, or get a discount for the big batch. Good luck.

Be sure to test it out before you do it with the kids. I tried a hula hoop once and the bubbles would not stick to it, only items with more texture.

There is a magic ingredient!! Glycerin!! Mix some in with dish soap it makes stronger bubbles. not sure of best ratio so test it in small batches till you get the result you want.

It really sounds fun!!! I think I'll try it with my kids.
