i dont get backcombing! how do you do it?

Question

i know how to tease hair, ive been looking it up and i get it but, i im sooooooooooooooo DAM CONFFUESED! what is backcombing, whcich way is backward hairbrushing?
i dont wanna do it wrong, hahahahahaha i just chooped off like half my hair in my bathroom so i can do this right and im too lazzy to go get a haircut, dont drive yet......... ive got the hair colors, but no tease. help.

Well, people backcomb to get the extra lift in the back top part of their head. What you do it lift that hair upwards, and then comb it down at the roots from about 3 inches from the roots down toward the roots. Does that make sense. It makes it real puffy, then spray it with hair spray. Then lay a layer above the one you just backcombed over it so you can't see the backcombing frizz.

Haha, well i just recently learned how to back comb my hair. It is when you take a section of hair (the amount depends on what you are doing with it) but usually a small amout at a time, usually about 1" or more sections that are fairly thin. You hold that section firmly away from your head and take your comb and start about 2" away from your head and just comb the opposite way firmly. You do this several times, and usually when you get good you do it faster so it works out better. You then do more sections behind that section that you just did and continue till you are done!
