Okay, the account is between Acts 6 and 8. None of the disciples were there when it happened, so they didn't meet him until after he converted. Before that, he so heavily persecuted Christians that they wouldn't have wanted to be anywhere near him.

There is no evidence that they did. However, I'm sure Peter would have heard about Paul because he was notorious for persecuting Christians before his conversion. Remember that, once he converted, the Christians weren't sure they could trust him because his reputation had spread far and wide and pretty much preceded him.
