Im not Chrstian, but the exposure to Chrstianity I have experienced, are those who promote hate and violense against homosexuals, those who judge others because their "sinners", and those who try to make others feel wrong for beleiving in something different than Chrstianity. Why is this?

christians SHOULD NOT PROMOTE HATE. it is a sad fact that some christians promote violence against other people most esp to homosexuals..first and foremost the Word of God told christians to love one another as the Lord love us meaning. love should be unconditional...regardless of who that person is or what he has done..what is important is we as humans should respect one another..sad sad fact that some don't...

Ok, I will try and explain how I view your question- from a Christian standpoint- I hope that you realize that we are not promoting hate-
As a Christian- I stand for the truth that my God stands for- that does not mean I hate gays, or would be violent toward them- my Savior would not do this either- when He was here on the earth before He was crucified He dined with sinners- and He was not happy with those who "thought they were better than anyone else"- those pharisees. Unfortunately there are pharisee Christians today, who will hate the sinner- however like Christ, I pray that I love the person- however that does not mean I will say that homosexuality is ok, because my God said it isn't. Any sin I have committed was not ok with God either, but His love sent His Son to die on the cross to pay the price that I , and anyone else could not pay. Jesus is truth, and for any Christian who truly loves the Lord our great desire is to see others saved and know Him as well- however people have a choice- so you are free to make that choice. When we stand up for the truth people can say we are intolerant, but when it is done in love, then we are like Christ. I pray that I am like Him,

Love the sinner, hate the sin has become an overused and misunderstood cliche over the past few years.

But if you really look at it and think about it you begin to understand why Christianity cannot promote hatred.

Christians are called to love all people, regardless of who they are. They are called to see the person for who the really are, a human being created by G-d and probably suffering in this world.

They are not, however, called to tolerate or accept the behavior of others when it goes against what is commanded by G-d. There are no exceptions.

This does not mean that they are to commit violence or to fuel hatred - this is not a Christian and not in the image of G-d. Instead they are to speak out about what is right, and to teach others what is true.

I guess it depends on where the hate is coming from, is it the anger of the Lord or the hate of the devil?

I hate the marriages in this world, they are all dead, and worldly....and being the only one causes so much anger becuase I have no support...well little.

so It depends on the situation......I never go after sinners on there sins, I just talk about G-d to them. But the christians I fight with, for we are suppose to be the Godly and rightous and if you do not point out thier sin, how will they ever learn to stop sinning?

Organized religion promotes separatism. The "we vs. they" attitude degenerates into hate for many, especially the fundamentalists. It causes people to be judgmental of others and promotes hate and suspicion of anyone who is different.

We don't promote hate, only defiance to what we think is wrong. Sometimes human can be so motivated by emotions that they tend to over expressed and become confused to the ways and teachings of the church.

It wasnt always like that. They we once loving people willing to die for others who they didnt even know. but in are dayin age y die for some one who doesnt believe what u believe is their thought. They hate to be challenged of their beliefs for fear they might deny their religion which will result in going to hell which is said to be worse than dying a thousand deaths.Christianity was based off hope, a strong feeling that can bring people together but for some reason they have felt to twist it and bend it til they thought it would fit gods thought but in reality no one could truly know what god thinks.
ps. im buddist it is better to love than hate.

A person who follows the teachings of Jesus does not promote hate. ---- But Paul did promote hate in his doctrine of excluding others. (women, gays, and people with long hair.)

edit: Paul even excluded 4/5 of the world population.

on occasion I could desire to ponder whether God makes use of human beings to aim who we are at coronary heart, to confirm who's certainly the form of man or woman who supplies the affection freely and would not discriminate to part of alternative than all yet a pick few. It makes me unhappy greater desirable than the rest how blind some may well be to the forged this is precise in front of them. on occasion concern may well be a contributing element in a man or woman's innovations-set in the direction of yet another man or woman. All they understand is the terror of a few thing diverse and that they do no longer make the attempt to truly understand. someplace alongside the strains Christ's message gets muddled up. human beings overlook what concerns and issues grow to be a contest between one yet another. I evaluate myself a non secular man or woman. Jesus is an element of who i'm and that i do my ultimate to mirror Him in my way, yet I do ask your self on occasion if particular human beings are a grave unhappiness. i ask your self to myself if this is fairly the proper element to be hateful. i've got faith a great love is present day in Christ in the direction of each and every physique and as such I make the attempt to bypass on that love that strikes by way of me. in case you bear in mind Jesus reported we'd understand who grow to be who by skill of the fruit they bore. by skill of ways that they acted on. shop searching for the forged and attempt to no longer enable the undesirable apples get you down.
